I'm going with Phantasm. It plays on Mirage, but has a more sinister tone. Also making Phantasm a fembot in my head cannon in homage to the Phantasm character from Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (and from the general lack of fembots in the line).

The CTN-8 chasis was one of the most advanced on Cybertron before the production plant was destroyed in the early days of the war. The CTN-8's were known for being smart, fast, and gifted with remarkable powers, but they were also known for their personality flaws, notably streaks of selfishness and disloyalty.

Phantasm initially joined the Autobots. Enamored by Optimus Prime's call for freedom, she really only cared about her own. When she realized the Autobots couldn't match Megatron's ruthlessness, she knew the Autobot cause was doomed. She turned on her commander and defected on the condition she get to hunt alone. Autobot Prowl holds a grudge against her as they served together at the time of her betrayal.

The fastest of the Decepticon ground forces and armed with high intensity incendiary rounds and optics-blinding rocket flares. Has the limited ability to phase through solid objects. She cannot maintain the power long, but at her speed she doesn't need to.

Holding herself superior to most Transformers, she continues to try to lure her mold-mate Mirage to the Decepticon cause. Overconfidence can lead her to rush into battle, only to retreat just as quickly. Her chassis bears the marks of many conflicts, which she wears with pride.

"SPECTRE" is a good one, but I think I'm going with "Phantasm", too. But spelling it PHANTZM for some 90s KOOL to go with that G2-esque deco.

 

I don't need another Wheeljack, I don't need another Wheeljack, I don't need another Wheeljack...

I want another Wheeljack... I wonder if they'll actually give him some more accessories. The rest of these sound pretty great, especially for the bots we haven't gotten yet like Bee and Elita1! Another Quintesson is great news as well, if not spoilery for the show.

 

That actually has more context to it and is something where I can see your point of view. But I really believe that it's just Hasbro capitalizing on the show even though the timing of its release is way off from when the Siege line was out. They'll still release a new line each year but Earthrise will clearly be sharing shelf space with these Siege figures to promote the show. Look at the bright side, at least its only at Walmart that the Netflix Siege figures have to share shelf space.

I think you have given us more spoilers with these reveals than that Ultra Magnus Spoiler Box  .

Of these guys, I'm mostly like getting Deep Cover and Elita, and Cheetor. I have the Transmetal 1 who looks good enough on a Generations shelf, so my preffered version is season 1 organic cheetah. TM2 is a design best left forgotten alongside the BM one...

Strong maybes are Bumblebee and the Quintesson if it is different enough from the regular version. That way I can semi troop build but not the exact same toy. Only time I've done that was Siege Refraktor and I felt kinda wrong doing it. That's why I'm hoping I can contain myself and only buy one Scrapface.  

If there is indeed more than one version of Bumblebee on the horizon, Im gonna have to wait and see. I love Earthrise Cliffjumper, so a retool of that with new feet and car shell wouldn't bother me. If it is a shite mold, I'm cool keeping the good ol' TR BB.

 

1) It is an easy conclusion to jump to.
2) IF HasTak did this (and I'm not saying will), they could do different heads and different yellow plastics to distinguish between them, maybe even chance the hood/shield. Hell, they could even do Hubcap in his G2 red chrome! Hubcap is an obscure character which makes him perfect for the selects line, while Bumblebee makes sense for the wider market, so having two similar releases, while questionable, could work out for them.

 

Bee's iconic as Heck...so it makes sense he gets a wider release.

 

It’s an easy conclusion to come to if you ignore pretty much everything people with the knowledge on the subject have said about it (including the senior design manager for the brand)

 

And maybe not everyone is as up to date on the information, and sometimes plans change.

 

I painstakingly went through the trailer frame by frame (3569 images if ya wondering lol) and Elitas back is not the same as Chromias.

 

I'm thinking she will be a retool with mostly new parts, only sharing the legs and some internals.

 

Which if it was the main line I would totally agree with but thus far the Netflix line has been straight up repaints/damage redeco so cant see her and bee being exceptions to the rule.

 

I'll go ahead and tell ya right now....I'm more hyped for Red Cog then I am for Elita-1.

I FINALLY got to see what these boxes look like. I looked too see who it was in it and never found the name. Walmart wanted $50 but passed cause just couldn't see the price. If it was for some i want in that mold i might have if cheaper but i do want 1box but want the ultra Magnus box set.

 

The 'bright side' to this is not so 'bright' I'm still trying to find a damn Scrapface in my city and nobody has spotted Spoiler Pack Magnus yet. Plus I haven't yet nabbed Megatron.

The decos on these are great, but the fact that Wal-Mart.ca still hasn't listed fuck all and my city in particular never stocked the 35th so I had to rely on Wal-Mart.ca for them and they sold out of Optimus before I could secure one is a real pain in the skidplate.

Wal-Mart's stocking is decidedly hit or miss at this time. And with exclusives like these... scalper bait is decidedly not ideal. I wish Hasbro could sell these direct as well or through other online e-tailers without a fricken mark-up, but sadly Wal-Mart has dominated both 35th and Netflix waves/series so we're stuck doing business with the devil conglomeration notorious for short changing folks outside the US OF A when it comes to exclusives.

 

Well least its better timed than the Prime wars trilogy series it was all but wrapped up by the time they started airing it.

Sucks its a Walmart exclusive line in the US though.

Good news. My podunk WM finally got the Netflix deluxes. Bad news. No voyagers. Good news. They have a tag up for them. I shall begin the stalking/haunting for Hotlink.
