Yes. Totally modular. All columns, wall panels and floor panels are separate interlocking pieces. There are also support pieces that can be placed between columns and beneath floors for additional support. It will make more sense in the Radicons thread...once I make it. Within reason, you could build it as high, wide and deep as you like. I’d like to come up with some alternative facades (stone, metal, residential siding, etc.) as well as some accessories.
Hell froze over...modular display system Radicons thread now available: Non-TF: - Modular Diorama System
Has anyone had any issue with the turtles in time bases for the boards? I was wondering how they were.
Thanks for all the different points of view! I ended up going with the light two pack of Michelangelo anf Raphael. I already had Figurarts Donatello and a KO Figurarts Leo which have a lighter tone. Plus I can't get over the Mandela Effect sukerpunch from realizing that they are darker in the show unlike how I remembered them. The pizza box piece and comics sealed the deal. Also got Slash, which is my way of doubling down on the nostalgia goggles version of the turtles I have in my head versus the actual toon accurate. Loved my Slash toy as a kid and the videogame version looks like it in my head (seeing the original toy in a video was another suckerpunch... Thing looks rather crappy compared to memory lol . Might still get the toon version since they are very different.
I have not seen the original turtles cartoon in years. Going by Neca's product release it seems that there are more villains than good guys, and with the need to have a lot of foot soldiers, the turtles are out numbered big time. I am thinking about a turtle display in a year or two, the poor turtles will be overran.
Casey, April, Splinter and Metalhead are on the way...and NECA Randy recently hinted at some more TMNT team groups that may happen in the future (Neutrinos, maybe?). I think the teams are going to even out some.
Okay, so Splinter fights Shredder, Metalhead fights leatherhead, Casey fights about six foot soldiers, April is useless, the turtles fight Bebop & Rocksteady, & Tokka &Rhazar (I do not collect the movie turtles, but they look too good not to have). Baxter and an army of mousers run rampant, Ratking attacks, Slash is standing around as a wild card (does he hug or attack Raf), then Neca should make Dogpound and Kria (Shedders daughter), and the robot kang's. The turtles need to call Batman asap.
Maybe we'll get a Party Wagon to help even the odds a little. I mean, if they were going to do just one vehicle, you'd think that would be the one.
Ok wait, so Metalhead is a good guy? I was older when TMNT came out and never followed any of the fiction. I do, however, love action figures and these NECA toon Turtles are pretty awesome.
If Neca makes a Party Wagon, then we will want a Technodrome (if S7 can make a Snake Mountain, Neca can make a Technodrome).
Apparently, his origin and story are kind of different depending on the series you follow (80's, 2003, 2012, etc.). But in the original 80s cartoon, he was ultimately a good guy. But I think that only happened after Donny modified him. Can't remember exactly...been decades, lol. I have always wanted a Party Wagon and am looking forward to what NECA comes up with if they actually make one. The Technodrome would be insane. I'd personally like a blimp as well. Since it's mostly air, one would think they could produce one that wouldn't be too expensive while still being impressively large while inflated and on display.
There are always more "badguys" than "goodguys" look at Spiderman and his rogues gallery, think of it like that. The TMNT 4 characters typically fought no more than 4 badguys at a time and that was Shredder, Krang, B&R. I don't ever remember (come on it was 30yrs ago we old lol) tham fighting say, Slash, Ratking, Leatherhead all at the same time. Plus they had help, Casey, Wingnut and Screwloose, Metalhead (depending on media), Usagi Yojimbo, Punk Frogs, the Neutrons.....if we count them we have to count April and New Channel team 6 (IJS) lol Don't mix medias lol, are you doing a 2012 display or a 80s display? Turtlepedia is your friend
The autobots out number the decepticons by 2 v 1, G.I. Joe technically out numbered Cobra characters (excluded troops), the Thundercats out numbered Mum-ra and his forces.
it wasn't 2-1 and the Decepticons had more combiners and could fly so that evens it out, while Mumm-ra and the mutants were outnumbered by what 1? how many other foes showed up throughout the series vs added friends? the Lunatics were a family of what 6 while the Thundercats only added 3 more and Cobra troopers count bcuz people troop build and they had a great health care plan lol. IDK i got nothing, you make a valid points
With G.I.Joe, you can count all the men and women in our armed services as troops, but they are not truly represented in the ARAH line. The Decepticons had more combiners, but were out numbered and had less larger figures, (Omega Supreme, Jetfire, etc) and OP received a lot of boosts/bonuses Powermaster OP, where was "Power boosted" Megatron? The rest of the 80s series, I need to rewatch, as I am out of the loop.
yeah i fell off transformers after the 4 part headmaster episode, i had fully invested in TMNT by then and then BW hit and i had left TMNT, then Car Robots and low and behold the return of the TMNT in 2k (still my fav to date) and we're full circle, it's a great time to be a TMNT and Tfan with all the collector pieces available, only Voltron surpasses my TMNT collection and that might not be for much longer
