Literally the only thing that confuses me about that trailer is why Le-Koro appears to be on ground level. That being said, the level of polish here is insane. It looks like an honest-to-god AAA game release. I need this in my life.
Perhaps that's just a part of it, not the proper village. The area also looks very cramped and basic, possibly just a small camp or outpost? Would be a damn shame to not see the full treetop village in these graphics.
It looks like a lot of care and attention to detail and the source material went into this so I’m pretty confident that that’s the case
does anyone know if anyone's done a MOC of the toa mata but with the inika/glatorian pieces/aesthetic? if so, are there any pictures, its hard to find them on google because of how it interprets the keywords.
I did "Stars" Tahu using a combination G1/G2 aesthetic, but before that I had an Inika build Tahu and it... wasn't great. The Mata masks are too smooth and small to look proportional, IMO, and there's the problem with colours. If you search any of the Toa Mata's names with Inika after it in google you'll find a few, of Tahu at least.
huh, your suggestion did end up leading me to this which ain't to bad so thanks. ain't amazing but its different in a cool way. i did so like the glatorian aesthetic more
Pohatu - Front by Kalhiki, on Flickr Finished my Toa Mata Revamps. Here's Pohatu, since I feel he turned out best. For the rest, I have a gallery on flickr: Toa Mata Revamps 2.0
That's actually fantastic. I've struggled with keeping Pohatu's weird proportions without making him look fat or misshapen. The original set somehow managed to still look awesome with the upside down torso. (his Nuva form, not so much) You managed to evoke that sense of unconventional speed and agility perfectly!
So after months of laziness and other interests taking hold i finally got around to printing Vakama's mask. Third build but it came out pretty good overall but still got has a flaw in the eyes slots. In short I'll either need to move, resize, or both.
Looks pretty damn cool, the overall shape came out excellent. The only rough areas are around the eyes and forehead/temple holes. Eager to see the others!
I got some bondo to seal the holes and yeah i'm gonna try to fix the eye sockets. I would have complained that the eyes dont "reach" the holes in the mask but upon inspection none of the G2 sets do that EDIT: I havent started the other masks yet but once that's done I'll see about putting them on Thingiverse or something
