I'd take Tigertrack if they remembered he exists and made him. Normally I'd say wait for Takara, but Hasbro has been surprising me lately with their interest in bringing "Japanese only" characters stateside.

He's totally outclassed by Sunstreaker. A new Swipe that can slim the chest down, have more accurate legs and doors on forearms would look more Toony and match Sunstreaker better. As well as open doors and headlights like Sunstreaker.

For now the Badcube steam roll is filling in as V2 Swipe doing all that including integrated cannon and gun in car mode like Hound does.

I looked at that nostaligic box art, I already thought that these were the first rumors about the MP version of that character.

Then I realized that this is a simple deluxe WFCS Netflix version of this character...

Fingers crossed Elita1 is based on ER Arcee. I could see it going both ways... either they do a lazy retool of Siege Chromia, or quality repaint of a good ER Arcee retool we just haven't seen yet. Hopefully the latter...

the details between shots all match up (bunny ears, forehead light square octagon shoulders, angles of the back kibble), I think it's just the angles creating abs optical illusion that they are different shapes.

I think it's ER Arcee with a new head, shoulders, and maybe upper torso.

Hmm this looks really interesting, though I did hope they would release a Skytread with a nice paint update

That's what I'm thinking too, considering the models in the series are literally the CAD models the toys are based on, or a straight-up copy of those, and Elita's backpack while bulky definately doesn't match Chromia's gigantic hump.

A Quintesson isn't necessarily the same effort as a regular Transformer and we've seen this with Cyberverse getting one.

In order to qualify as a Voyager, they had to give the Earthrise Quintesson a transforming CHAIR and a motorized gimmick.

By contrast, a Quintesson scientist would be two arms with a hinge and a ball joint with a face flap and a butt flap for Micromasters to ride through (not even the five flaps of darkness the Voyager gets).

Most of the production budget is likely to be on paint and there's no engineering design budget for a face spinning button like the Voyager gets.

There is some precedent over the years that limited articulation hunks of plastic are similar to Hasbro cost wise as redeco rereleases with no new tooling and similarly suitable for retailer exclusive items.

I seem to recall a Unicron head, an Ark, figurines, the recent Target Cyberverse Quintesson which is essentially the third figure in the pack.

I thought his issue was obvious.....

If people continue to just buy the same character's and over again then that gives HasTak no real incentive to make and release new characters.

I mean buy whatever you want it's your money. My beef is more so with Hasbro for being kinda cheap and lazy as a result.

So far the only character in this Netflix line that I'm most likely to get is Deep Cover and I swear that I don't know a thing about this character. There's also Elita 1 but not if she's just a Siege Chromia retool. The Quintesson mystery can go either way as well.

I was thinking it might be Arcee too based on the screenshot, it kind of looks like the same "half-a-car cape" hanging on the back.

Like Flywheels, Hotlink, RedWing,, Six Gun, Cog, Brunt, Scorponok, Omega Supreme, Countdown, all the Micromasters, Spinister, Exhaust, Clampdown, Soundblaster, Ricochet, Powerdashers, Crosshairs...

I mean, I get it, I'm sick of Prime and Megatron and Starscream (they've been shockingly restrained on Bumblebee, only the TR Legend figure in the last 10 years IIRC) and a lot of the 84 cars as much as the next fan, but there's been an absolute wealth of new and obscure characters released since Combiner Wars. I straight up skipped almost all of Siege ASIDE from the new and obscure. The only "Prime" I got over the whole period was the Takara Super Ginrai.

(That said, Earthrise Prime and Starscream are pretty much the Prime and Starscream I've been waiting for since I picked up Marvel #1 in 84)

Deep Cover is a nice thing to have and does indeed make some sense to see.
Since they have been farming the obscure lately.

Makes me wish for a Siege Sunstorm and Detritus though too.
