Now instead of swiping these from the back of the package, they just straight up rip open a giant hole in the front. I'm not even sure how you can push the front in like that with your hands without the figure getting in the way. Then again Goldim Sum is pretty thin.

 

The ones I handled in-store for series 5 (yellow bubble) seemed to Crack pretty easily... one of them was already split open, but the botbot was still present inside.

It's especially hard to get things at the moment due to low staffing levels the customer service responses have fallen off a cliff, I've been trying to secure the Botbots I want Or get dates on Earthrise toys - but it's mostly a pointless endeavour - I'll likely end up having to wait and hope I don't miss out on Wave 4 entirely I expect, you'd think places would be raising their game for online - what with lower foot traffic - not just giving up.

 

I found Series 4 8 and single packs in the Target by me.

 

Singles?! Man. I've only found series 4 and 5 eight-packs. Everything else else is series 3 and prior.

 

I saw the singles once , ONCE. All the S4 stuff i've seen after that is the 6 packs

 

I really wish they would abandon the random format now that retail is so anemic with BB distribution.

 

I know distribution is the biggest issue here but abandoning the random format means no more singles? That I don't know if I agree with. I like the affordability of the single format. Though it coming down to good timing and luck is no fun. Now, sticking the exclusive singles in place of the repeats in the 5 and 8 packs, sure.

Personally, figure distribution is an issue too. Several packs will have some of the same combinations of figures as other packs. Even if you wanted to include a figure four times in one series, could it not be paired with the same one or few figures across packs?

I definitely want the 6-packs to go away. It's such a bad value, you need all of them (which is an extra $80) for completion, and even those have repeats amongst themselves.

So funny story. I was looking through the little character bible on my phone when I found
I came up with the name Sweet Fang first. I guess it’s not that funny. I thought it was interesting.

 

Hmm good point otherwise it may become a zombie thread.

Also, I thought of another line wide gimmick for 2021 called the InvisiBotBots where any random BotBots from other tribes from this year ot the year before becomes invisible but for toy wise, I'm thinking that maybe Hasbro will making them in clear plastic with little faces printed on their robot mode. I thought it was a bad idea but what do you guys think?

It's a good idea in theory, but transparent plastic is more fragile than regular plastic. I don't think that would work well on many of them.

 

Hate to double post but are you supposed to do anything with Mumbo Bumblo's legs for the transformation?

I hope his figure isn't in the toy aisle when series 5 singles finally appear in stores.

Him activating the "These aren't the Botbots you're looking for." trick will be quite devastating.

 

You can fold them down slightly, but that's about it. They don't really move much.

Speaking of Steve, my boy was using our favorite anxiety mascot as the victim in the burning building that the Rescue Bots needed to save when he was playing with them. I’ve never been prouder.
