He has twin barrels (that strike me as aesthetically closer to Pinpointer's G1 gun mode) with the Aimless alt barrels and limbs though, along with the rayban visor that strikes me as closer to Pinpointer than Firedrive's separate eyes but, hey, it's Hasbro's IP, innit? At least that means the only Battlemaster I really want from the set is proper orange Lionizer! :p
    While we're on Targetmasters, coincidentally...

HYOWGE MASSEEEEEEEEEEEEVE "THANK YOU!!!" to the Migh-tea-est of B. O. C.s, @MyTea Boc his own self of course, for today's surprise arrival (I knew she was winding her way here but didn't expect so soon an arrival on Pandemic Delivery Protocol), clearly she had a favourable wind behind her, or beneath her wings?
    DSC_0051.JPG
Virtually impossible goal achieved, of fulfilling a regretful skipping without the loss of a limb or bankable organ! Absolutely made up, thank you, Brian!

It may not seem like there's much between them (less so now since I've tweaked my TR quite a bit), and to be honest there isn't in robot mode apart from some minutiae like nicer (IMO) gangmoulding choices like her "bikini" being moulded in red plastic with the black parts painted, transparent blue collar, and app flourishes like the pearly goldish turbine deco, the bejeweled kneepads, and a better application of her makeup on the LG (the under eye accents are just a smidge more substantial, and a bit fuller lippy makes her look a lot less pouty than my TR).
    DSC_0052.JPG
Really though, it's all about this jet mode. The proper-coloured cockpit, and that exquisite Sarah Stone-style nose. Exquisite, I say!
    DSC_0054.JPG DSC_0055.JPG

As to those knees, mate? Not a problem anymore. I managed to split the lower legs to get in there and use my bold, new (to me) tightening technique of a thin app of superglue on the knee, and ankle posts for good measure, then letting that dry before reassembly, and now...
    DSC_0046.JPG DSC_0049.JPG
In fact I was a bit accidentally generous on the right knee and left ankle, so I'm being mindful to keep giving them a little bit of work whilst I wonder about trying to paint her blade up a bit like the T30's fade job, it seems pretty tight in that scabbard, and Takara might've done it if they could?

That's something I can see happening and I'd be OK with it as I really enjoyed her episodes first time round.

What slightly worries with me with the series is that George visited the set during filming, I'd have him banned just in case he says "Here's an idea...."

I'd be all "No George we're not on board with Mando having second thoughts about the widow on that planet where he trained the locals to fight so he won't be going back there and spouting some shitty dialogue about the helmet being as coarse and irritating as sand".

The only idea from George that should be put onto the screen is if it involves an even more ridiculous made up word than "Maclunkey!" because in all honesty that's been my favourite thing he's done since ROTJ.

It's like he went "I'll show all those bastards who didn't like the prequels, I'll change the Han Vs Greedo scene AGAIN!" whilst laughing maniacally :D

Smooth. I ahve been wondering if we're due another Windblade in WfC:III. How would you feel if she wound up sharing a mould with Needlenose?

Depends on the execution, if it was a Wheeljack/Sunstreaker neither losing too many of their key design notes (wing turbines, etc. intact, though conversely I wouldn't be bothered if the robot in a bikini motif got dropped along the way so long as the colour breakdowns were "right") I wouldn't mind.
I think my ideal would be a lightly feminised take on the Seeker bod with a recolour/light remould Slipstream as the alt. (also opening up the possibility of further Cyberverse influenced additional fembot Seekers). Hmm, having said that I don't think I'd mind if Needlenose ended up with more of a Seeker bod himself!

I'm expecting a potential (please don't put the poor lad in another fan vote. He's had a hard enough time as it is)Needlenose to be as G1 as Siege Spinister was. When I did the old head scratchy retool think, I was struck by some of the kibble commonalities on Needlenose and Windblade. After being in (and losing) two Deluxe fan votes I'd be amazed if he wasn't a Deluxe. Like, if we got him.

I'm just wondering if the aesthetics of the TCG are an indication of how Hasbro are thinking, where they slapped a Siege Tetrajet Seeker bod on him. Plus I can see the voyager ER Seeker bod with Dirge/Ramjet wings could potentially swing them around for the correct orientation for Needlenose, if so new head, bang him in a Battlepack with 2 Battlemaster blasters and Bob's your WFC:III exclusive box sets.

Really good review, no messing around, totally honest.

There isn't a figure in that wave that doesn't look like corners were cut and the designers did their best with the accessories.

I think the issue is they all have twin barrels, the closest they have to a single barrel is the blowpipes mould, I mean to my taste aesthetically I think all the autobot chests would have worked better without pegs but they've been lazy with the tm's only austensibly doing 2.5 worth of a mould let's be honest so it's just a case of what fits best. It's a shame really but it is what it is.

I saw a few people speculating on that, but the fact that the TCG Ratchet wound up being nothing like the toy we got a few months later makes me think that the TCG stuff doesn't point to the future. And that I'm creating a deeper jinx trap for the poor lad.

I've found TR Roadburn's head but.. eek - one of the neck parts has snapped off and missing! I'm sure this could still be salvaged if you still fancy him? :)

The Touch started playing right as I scrolled onto this post. Huzzah for timing!

He's got some good ideas, he just needs someone better to execute them. I'd say "Yeah, sounds like a good idea George, we'll have a think about how we can fit that in." And then just stick to what we were gonna originally do. Unless it's a genuinely good idea.

Because of the star wars talk, I totally read that in Ewan Mcgreggor's voice.

Eek! If that other piece of neck is still solid, yeah. I'll PM ya. If memory serves, that same neck piece was a bit loose on my old one too.

Wish there were better Marvel Hot Wheels, I've only got Black Widow but a clatter of DC ones.

In other news, I've been building Lego left and right lol

My logic in part is as a two-time loser it may be that Hasbro are less likely to invest heavily in the development of a new mould for him maybe? Hence he might get done lo-fi/cheaper on the developmental front.

I think I'm good for a good enough Sarah Stone-influenced Windblade now, chaps!

There we go, confirmation TFNation is cancelled for this year, sad but perhaps inevitable

Oh, man, commiserations for the TFNers among us but kudos to the TF Nation Team for taking the hard decision business wise for Fans' wellbeing ultimately! Bravo!
