Never saw the show, but Wild Wheel looks cool. I always liked Wheeljack from Armada, so another Autobot turned Decepticon character is cool.

I absolutely loved this show. It's kind of a shame I can't find any other thread to talk about it in since this seems to be where all the discussion is and the thread title is calling it trash.

Probably the best summary of Cyberverse is the pilot of season 2. The decepticons are up to something on the moon and the autobots are there to stop them. Watching them fight and seeing characters pop up randomly is like watching a child throw their toys and smashing them together with glee. You find out the cons are basically turning the moon into a rocket and I'm just sitting there wondering "what possible reason do they have to do this? well ok". Eventually it's revealed that they want to propel the moon into the Earth to break it into a million pieces so that they can find some plot device thing by sifting through all the rubble floating in space lol. It's the absolute dumbest thing, it's so dumb it went above and beyond my expectations and broke my sides and my brain.

There's a character named Wildwheel and his backstory is that he was an autobot on the Ark who fell off and got stuck in his pod. When he woke up he was in the Wild West. This somehow meant he had to become a bounty hunter to survive and eventually made his way back to Cybertron hating Optimus for being left behind. I hope I'm getting this across. Like, the mental image of this giant robot deciding he needs human currency for some reason and deciding that the only way to make a living is to join a band of outlaws is so silly. But to Wildwheel this is serious shit, the show does not treat this like a joke, which makes it even funnier.

It sounds like I'm laughing at the show but I found it genuinely endearing. All the character dynamics are so fun, the plots are so inane and goofy, the cast is so large and colorful. Some people cite the short runtime as a detriment but Cyberverse honestly had about the same attention span I had so I didn't mind. Seeing Ratchet just run up to a guy midfight and blasting them while quipping "come back when you've scheduled an appoinment! Haha!" just cracks me up. It's so energetic and giddy.

The Grimlock episode from season 1 and the Jetfire/Sky-Byte episode from season 2 are genuinely great episodes. Cyberverse's rendition of Cosmos is adorable and I'd watch a full show of Alien Hunt with her and Meteorfire.

The worst thing about Cyberverse is it's weird distribution but its irreverent attitude and endearing, living, breathing, and large ensemble cast makes it the closest thing to capturing the G1 charm no show has since. It was a fun ride and I'll miss these idiots.

While I didn't like the Autobot cast and the focus on bumblebee, and the massive amount of filler, I agree with you on that. It was fun while it lasted even if I didn't like a lot of it.

I agree on every single note. I feel like someone has to be intensely humorless and boring to find this show terrible or trash. It was made by some very funny people with great fun ideas. The show was deliberately hilarious and always kept it's pulse on comedy even during dramatic parts.

I find the humor to just be really childish and unfunny. Plus the writing and voice acting keeps me from being able to be invested in the show, so I can't enjoy it. There were so many instances of me going, "What??? Why did he/she do that? That doesn't make any sense!!" I haven't seen the episode with Wild Wheel, but the idea of him becoming evil because he fell off the Ark and now he's mad about that nobody came to rescue him, even though everyone was crashed in the side of a mountain for four million years or however long it was in Cyberverse, to be an example of this very poor character motivation.

It also doesn't come up that everyone else was still in stasis on the Ark when he emerged - and that he was presumably offworld by the time they were awakened. No one tells him that they didn't come looking for him because they were literally still asleep for a good 150 or so years after he woke up, no one could come looking for him. So his motivation is pretty much entirely misplaced anger at being "abandoned" even though he's the one who left Earth without ever even trying to find the Ark because he apparently assumed they left him behind.

Just finished the show. It’s definitely a mixed bag, but that 3rd season was a lot of fun. The first season didn’t impress me, but season 2 started to get better. But season 3 was a drastic change in direction for the better. If the entire show had been like season 3, this might be in my top 5 right now.

This show has my favorite versions of Astrotrain, Arcee, Chromia, Cosmos, and maybe some of the seekers. I’ll have to rewatch to find out as they killed off nearly all of them before I really got to know them.

Also loved newcomers: Wild Wheel, MeteorFire, ThunderHowl, Clobber, Whirl, & Shadow Striker. SS is the Nebula of Transformers. :)

It’s so sad. This show really hit its stride in season 3. I want to see more of it now. Like, what happens next? Did Megatron die? Does the ceasefire turn into an actual peace? Can Astrotrain contain Other Megatron in unspace? What happens?

The last ep was a good place to conclude the whole story of bringing Windblade back, but it doesn’t feel like a proper end for this series.

I just finished the show. It had some rough edges, but I liked it. I don't think season 1 is as bad as everyone says. It was decent and I liked how they explored the history. Season 2 was good and season 3 was really good except for some of the filler episodes that managed to drag even with only 11 minutes to fill. I loved that they just brought in whatever the hell they wanted from the different universes. It was cool sitting there and being surprised by Airhammer, Skybite, Kup, Astrotrain, Cheetor, etc. It kept it fresh. I loved how Megatron and Optimus took a backseat most of the series. And even Bumblebee did for a while. And even Starcream wasn't around all that much while still being the big bad multiple times. It was awesome how they just kicked all these overused characters into the background for a while and let the other ones get some screen time.

I like the animation and art style in the show. It works really well and is probably one of my favorite representations of Cybertron. Also no humans! Amazing. The show felt a bit rushed at times, but it's 11 minutes, so what are you going to do.? I wonder how much better it would have been had it been allowed 20 minutes and more seasons to flesh things out.

I also love how many female transformers there are. Has anything other story line had a ratio this high?

My biggest gripe with the series is probably some of the voice acting. Too many characters sound like the same dude, and often the voices don't fit very well with the secondary and tertiary characters. There are some good ones in there like Windblade, but too samey too often for the rest.

Honestly, this ended up being one of those surprise gems.

I posted this on the Episode 8 thread. I hate the Title for this thread because I disagree 100% with it, but like someone above said: this appears to be the place to discuss Cyberverse, LMAO.

Anyway, every season got almost exponentially better, and I wanted to edit a little tribute, so I put this together. There are obviously Season 3 spoilers in this, but I tried to stay away from major reveals (if you watched it all, you know what I mean).

I get that people hated Clober. I get it. But now, I can't unsee her as a she. I love her in this show. S

I didn't like her before I watched the show and she didn't do anything before season three. Why not have Lugnut? But then season three happened and she's perfect as she is.

I like to think of her as Lugnut's sister.

When she and Lockdown start laughing at the parade because Skybite gets crushed, I was dying. She was there for a mission, but that was pretty damn funny for her, lmao.

I honestly don’t think it’s that bad. I’m surprised to say I’m actually liking the show.

I completely agree with, save for one thing. Knowing where the show goes, and how it all ends, I feel Season 1 is amazing. But it also makes this show one of the most progressive Transformers shows ever, in that Season 1 does not resemble Season 3 at all but the build up to it is totally appreciated when it's all said and done.

I'm watching on YouTube, so I must be behind having just watched Episode 9. But I'm loving the fact that Hot Rod is the main character in a show named for Bumblebee right now. LOL!

One of the wonky things about this show was the deaths, I'll run down them here and how they held up (scale::thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown  - :thumbs2: :thumbs2: :thumbs2: ):

Blurr - First kill of the series and it felt a bit rushed. it was still sad but didn't leave an impact due to stilted dialogue and too fast of a pace. :inquisiti
Slipstream - Actually very impactful based on how much we had known her and her good intentions. :thumb
Seekers - Not very emotional but worked mechanically as a good stakes raisers as they were the villains in season one.:inquisiti
Starscream - A very brutal fight which basically lasted as an episode-long power struggle between Starscream and Megatron and was a great set up for Screamer striking out on his own. :thumb
Prowl - Terrible, when I watched it, I burst out laughing. It was so off tempo, the music was bad, the voice acting was really off during that scene, and they treated it like a big deal despite the fact we have had almost no development for him. :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown
Bludgeon - Felt absolutely amazing! He had been a prick, being the killer of Slipstream, it felt great watching him get what he deserved. :thumb
Drift? - The question mark is because it is ambiguous if he died as Hot Rod came back from the same thing. It was really weird twist as he seemed to have a background arc that this just negated by making him flip back. :thumbdown
Cheetor - THE saddest death in Cyberverse as we had spent a season getting to know and bond with Cheetor until he must sacrifice himself.:thumb :thumb :thumb
Maccadam - For many of the same reasons as Cheetor, this was a character we got to know over 3 seasons and had a nice and satisfactory death. :thumb :thumb
Megatron? - Another ambiguous death that if he doesn't die, ok, if he does, it really was half-assed and out of the blue. :thumbdown
