Because they spent so much time and energy promoting the official brand and writing off anything else. So they don't want to come off as a hypocrite. Notice you rarely see pics of their collection.....pretty sure it's because there's some 3P and KO mixed in there that they don't want others to know about.

Again, so weird. But then I've never been the type to be ashamed of changing my mind or learning that I'm mistaken. Oh, this thing I believed and spouted isn't true? Well then I guess I'll adjust my beliefs accordingly because why the fuck wouldn't I do that?

Because we're taught from an early age that being wrong is bad. Not an opportunity to learn just bad.

Our education systems in many countries teaches us everything is black and white. There is a correct answer and a wrong onea and giving the wrong one can result in ridicule, persecution and even punishment. So we don't want to dare be wrong.

Sadly our need to always be right causes a fight or flee reaction in many to facts that contradict their beliefs. Thus we get the tired 3rd party products are expensive garbage arguments that won't go away. Even if you counter with facts and figures. People are programmed to fear being wrong.

I see the phrase ignorant thrown out as an insult too. To be ignorant is the starting point of every human. We don't know things until we know them. Wilful ignorance is the issue. people refuse to listen and accept different viewpoints and this mindset is very different to someone just not knowing something.

Aaaaaaaanyway. Rouge is still my MP Arcee but I'm getting close to putting in a pre-order for the official MP. I'm still not sold on the chest but I'm told that it is accurate by artists who have studied a lot more anatomy than I do I'm sure I'll accept it more in hand.

So, yeah, I might well be wrong in my beliefs there and am accepting the viewpoints of others;)

I mean yeah, I learned that being wrong is bad, too, but I just don't understand the notion of "well then I just won't accept that I'm wrong." Um... that means you're still bad! If you just stop being wrong, you won't be bad any more! Why is this so difficult! But yeah, I get what you're saying. I suppose it also helps that I've always been socially awkward and never really fit in so peer pressure didn't mean all that much to me: can't feel pressure to fit in if you can't ever fit in, right?

As for MP Arcee's chest, I'm an artist as well and it's partially accurate from a human anatomical viewpoint. If we're going to pretend she has human breasts, then yes, they're about right, though the transition from chest to breast is generally more gradual than that with a gentler slope. But I mean I guess I imagine that Arcee is meant to look like a humanish woman wearing some sort of shirt or whatever which usually won't slope like that, preferring to take a straight or at least straighter line from the shoulders to the breasts. Personally, I think what they should've done is cut into the area behind her chest piece so that the whole chest piece could swing down further. That would put both the top and bottom at the correct angles (as it is, the bottom is too straight down rather than angling back to her body), and then they'd just need to extend the top a bit to fill in the resulting gap. But I'm also really not that bothered by it and plan to get the figure anyway - I'm much more bothered by her weird looking face than her chest.

[Edit] Then again, I'm the guy who designed this thing so maybe I'm not the one to ask about keeping Arcee's chest accurate :p

Gotta say, I've been all over the place on which figure will be my Arcee, and Rouge had been eventually dismissed because I hate the face sculpt.

Until I saw this picture and thought that it doesn't look as grumpy-man-like as the one I always see when I look at pictures.

The chest gap will always be an issue, but the only thing really that hurt it for me was that face. Now I'm all uncertain again!

For me the default out of the box chest and face were not good. After changing out to the cartoon chest along with putting on one of the alternate faces I feel this looks like Arcee, and I am proud to own her.

In all fairness, while I far from support buying KOs, going for Hound has a bit of reason to it, just since the official is under the lack of mercy from all his QC issues.

Personally, i'm waiting for a reissue of either him or FT Willis.

Just goes to show the importance of a good face. Kinda why I personally hold certain styles and extra faces in high regard, besides my love for being able to put my figures into different situations and poses, sometimes where a different expression would do much more justice than leaving the same face from the last on!

I'm personally waiting on the reviews to come out for MP-51 before I decide to shoot for it. For me, the chestplate issue has kinda grown on me, in light of seeing that it's actually more accurate that it itself looks, but also for the style it kinda goes for. I'll just link what I mean by that last point just so I don't have to type it all up again, haha. With some earlier posts included solely for context and a bit more light into my position.

Any idea when/if we might get a Paradron Medic? I know there’ll be an official one eventually from MP Arcee, but I want one from the Rouge mould as well.

Probably be called Veridian or Viridis if she does get made. At least I hope so!

Got her through the secondary market for €100,- MIB a few days ago! She even had the qc sticker still applied! A steal imo and she is absolutely gorgeous. Proud to own her.

Mind if I ask why? No judgement here: I'm just curious why one would want to buy a box and insert. Also what is considered a fair price for a box? I've occasionally seen them on eBay but the prices seemed pretty high to me (only reason I took note of them was because I initially thought they were listing the figure for that much and was like WTF?!)
