This is an odd crossover figure......But....Its not really my cup of tea. Then again I realize I\'m not MLP\'s demographic.....BUT...I guess this whole \"crossover\" line is cute to some people. This is coming from someone who like the Transformers and G.I.Joe crossovers...especially when it comes to the weird and obscure Decepticon range. *Looks at Viper from Combiner Wars*. Real talk I hope we see an ER Powerglide, wrong chat here but can you imagine an ER Powerglide that can be repainted into Viper for Selects? Sign me up Hasbro.

 

I've seen the cover pages. They look like they're using FIM design then OG 80's look....but I guess they gotta see what works for the comics since really I'll admit the FIM designs are the most appealing. Like...in an advertising sense.....Oh god I'm becoming a brony....Be right back....  gotta hit my head on a wall...

I hope MLP will get Marvel and Star Wars crossover since Hasbro had Star Wars and Marvel licenses.

 

It's interesting that if they're going for the 80s look for these crossovers that they're doing plastic manes and tails, rather than rooted ones. Also, Plasmane's eye seems weirdly set on her head, like it's too far down the muzzle-hopefully the eyes on the Transformers crossover are better. But I have very fond memories of 80s MLP, so if Optipony is cute, I might try to nab him.

That's funny, for the first time I started watching season 2 of G1, and old power Glide is my favorite.

 

Well, i'm sorta curious how they would handle that? I mean with Star Wars, they would just make a earth pony jedi and perhaps a sith pony/alicorn/whatever species fits.

Marvel however could go either "What if" variants of existing super heroes or would be a crossover with that one Marvel timeline where everyone are animals, you know the one Peter Porker came from.

Still, i'm REALLY curious how they could handle 90's themed crossovers with franchises like Sonic The Hedgehog (Given that IDW has the comic rights to that series.) and Power Rangers (A lot trickier considering Boom! has the license.)

 

I remember Ian Flynn(who both writes mainly for Sonic, but has dabbled in MLP with Feats of Friendship and is writing the MLP/TF crossover) saying he'd actually be interested in doing one if he was offered the chance

IDW managed to get a crossover with TMNT so it's not impossible. But it pretty much depends on if Boom! is willing to work with MLP. Because let's be honest the demand for a MLP/PR crossover is nowhere near as big as one for PR/TMNT

 

I ended up getting both the Hello Kitty's, including the Halloween version. It's like, this thing actually exists.

I'd be more likely to get a Transformers/MLP figure if it was robotic. Robots are more my thing than regular MLP figures (Now I'm thinking 'Darth Vader Pony'  . I probably would get something like that.). Of course, a 'regular' pony with an Autobot cutie mark could end up next to the Transformers Kittys.

 

Did they not already do that as the Banana Splits Movie?

 

Interesting to note, it’s strongly believed that the Banana Splits movie was made from what’s left of the (seemingly) cancelled Five Nights At Freddy’s movie.

 

Comics? Maybe.
Toys. Nah.

Also, Power Rangers absolutely needs to crossover with Transformers. Both a PR themed combiner and a TF themed Megazord would be great!

I'm talking about something like G1 bots with PR alt-modes. Or, alternatively, you do Ranger bot modes who turn into their zords and then combine.

Yeah the bronies invaded magic the gathering years ago and got a set of crossover cards recently. They came dressed as ponies to tornaments. Besides the look at me specticle hidden behind the excuse of self confidence, for the most part were decent oponents. Just like other vocal fringe groups they tended to say outlandish thing and even gallop accross the show floor. I "look" normal but I collect robots, figures, and play magic so to each their own I guess. I am polite and only interact with them if neccessary. I will never understand Bronie culture though lol
