What's funny is, I saw the picture and thought "Why is Animated Krok such a badass?" Had to backtrack a few pages to find out who it actually was.

How much did that Minerva set you back? She's my TFA holy grail, but so insanely expensive.

Unpainted assembled Minerva from Ebay $250 usd. Wasn’t even looking just happened upon it. After getting a Stunt Job set figured go all in.

I made an offer, as it was listed closer to 370$ with shipping. Also got Toxitron from him too. Was only looking for Toxitron when I stumbled on Minerva which is such a rarity she wasn’t even on my radar.

So although I collected some animated back when they first came out and I love the toyline in general, I ended up selling them all off a while ago. I JUST picked up one that I missed out on back in the day and might I say this figure is an A+ in my book! I like the design more than his earth mode so I went with that and I’m not disappointed in this figure at all. I did cut off some of the material at the back of the neck which increased the neck articulation a LOT which helped. I do have a question though: is there any reason I should NOT glue the axe head to the axe handle? It’s kinda annoying how it comes off every so often. That and the axe handle joint being weak (so it bends easily) are my only gripes about this figure.

Animated had some gems and introduced some new characters(or reintroduced lesser-known ones) to a mainstream audience. The cartoon was super fun as well...who can forget OPTIMUS PRIME laughing his head off (so to speak) at Sentinel's predicament?

 

Just re-quoting my question in case it got lost. Anyone have a reason why I shouldn't glue the axe head onto the handle?

 

The only reason I could think of depends on which direction it's facing in relation to the hinge joint on the handle, as to still be able to fold away and store in the alt-mode.

You could probably just put a tiny bit of sticky tack/tack putty to adhere it, so it's not permanent/still factory and still stays in place.

But yes in regards to the comment making sure to super glue it the right direction is it still stores properly in alt mode.
