Most of my KOs are from Taobao and from the experience, those reputable seller handle my issue way better than my local seller. I remember I purchase LS03 and it comes without the claw. After 1.5 years, when I ask my seller he only replies that he is still waiting for his supplier to get back to him and don't even care to reply. So far my purchase from Taobao are good without any issue (touchwood) and those buyer will immediately get replacement part the moment they report any issue to the seller. I can even get further discount for about 50 - 100 yuan + some free gifts such as the autobot / decepticon insignia from my regular seller
I never understood how TaoBao worked. But I guess you can try it, certainly saves a bit of cash at the end of the day!
I'll be getting from TB, but not pre order. preordered FT-10x on TB but when it was released the seller went all silent.
So far, only FansToys has significant discount for pre-orders. For others, sometimes they can be cheaper with store discounts. FT-10X was a "special" case, as were FT-29T and FT-16M. They were almost impossible to pre-order. But when they were released, you could find stock of them "everywhere". You just have to pay MSRP or more.
even as pre order, the transaction was considered fulfilled. I didn't bother going thru TB for my refund. I've done it once for a A$400 purchase that the seller failed to send after two weeks and it's a chore filing my case in mandrin. Took it as a lesson not to preorder unless I know what I'm doing lol
Same as well. The only reason is I pre ordered MP39 KO and it sucked big time. Paint was bad and it flaked. Nothing wrong with Taobao, just learnt to wait for in hand experiences before jumping on KOs. The money saved on pre ordering isn't a lot so it's worth it to me to wait. In terms of getting parts though for missing or broken pieces, that's easy. Just do the swap method or 'fake' purchase listing and ship the part with something else. So yeah, I'll wait for consensus opinion and then order through Taobao
I think there are enough other interesting and serious offers from other website. So maybe one day if I can't find any other figure elsewhere...
Why are none of these companies capable of offering the full ko complete with trailer? Did the original thief forget to steal the design files for the trailer?
So is the rumor now that it doesn't come with the trailer? Good. I've got enough trailers sitting in their boxes.
Hmmm... I'm in no rush to get the KO, but just wondering, what stores are people getting theirs from?
