Yea, apparently there were some real assholes on his fb page that kept demanding free stuff and harassing him (don’t have details, I only know 2nd hand) so he just closed up shop

 

Wasn't just that. He just recently came back to social media and dropped his group a line. He was going broke and losing a lot of money. And was just him running the whole thing so he got burned out. I was hoping he would put a few of the teletraan command centers back up for sale...my buddy got one and it was pretty top notch and a lot cheaper than the igear set. He said he may do small things again as a side hobby and list here and there on ebay..but I wouldn't look for anything for a while. He said he just got straightened out and took a new full time job. DSA stuff was just as good as Dr Wu and some stuff was better. Shame.

 

yeah I forgot some of that stuff too...I saw a lot of posts about people getting pissy they hadn't got their orders in xxx amount of time and wanted something free to compensate...or like my buddy got a free item with his Command center set and others mentioned how they got bonus item as a thank you then everyone started wanting bonus item and complained they didnt get...I felt bad for him.

 

That sucks to hear he was losing money   but I’m glad to hear he’s getting himself sorted out. I wanted one of his chug scaled command centers but couldn’t get the cash to order one, that thing looked awesome and definitely agreed on his stuff being as good as dr wu and nonnef as well

I’ve had a pending request on the deep space arsenal old soldiers group for like the last two months so I wasn’t aware he had posted any updates

 

He isn't the owner of the group anymore...and when he deleted the account it passed to the next guy who doesn't post often but kept it going in case Justin came back...guess they were good friends. This was Justin's post on Feb 24:


Had to hop off of social madia for a while there to take care of some life issues (job hunting and soul searching mainly). Should be back now on a fairly regular basis. Hoping to reboot DSA at some point and refocus my effort on smaller but more interesting/ unique releases. More fillers and cosmetic stuff as well as some display props.

Kinda been hitting a mid-life crisis and working some things out. its time to get over it and stop feeling sorry for myself though.

Haven't even looked at TF releases in a couple months. looks like some cool stuff coming out. Once I'm back to work ill have to put in a PULSE order.

Yeah that's good to hear.

 

I get that people caused things to become a total shit show but he had good designs why not sell the cad files for a few bucks (make it worth the effort is making them and running a few test items) and sell copies or do a patrons sub even a high one that allows people to print and sell overprinting his own and then mailing it, let it be someone else's headache and focus on the passion. Like that Siege trailer was insanely good as well as that mini Ark. I am sure there is a way to make some money and give people a means to get the items made without all headaches.

 

Damn! late to the party again! Story of my life so thats why i can't find him on FB or ebay he does some great work too. i really like his POTP predaking add ons oh well life goes on!

 

Does anyone know how many computer control sets were made?

 

I do not think it was a lot. He hand painted them. And was made to order. My buddy got one but by time i found out he had cut off orders. I would guess under 100. Probably under 50 for what it cost and time it took to make them. Buddy said it took almost 3 months to get.

 

I got one as well and it did take about 2 months to get I am very happy to have one just didnt know how many got produced

 

Wow! This bums me out.
But I hope DSA/Justin is well. Self care is super important.

If DSA doesn't come back, then I hope someone else picks up the idea and makes feet replacements.
The new ER-Ironhide needs those feet!
