Asuka wins the Women's MITB match

They missed an opportunity with the MITB matches.

Should have had more people at the end in both matches and more crazy spots at the end

 

And everyone was so sure AJ would win. If this was a normal MITB having Otis win would be a bigger deal. As it is, its par for the course since it was extra gimmicky.
And i thought the message was suppose to be revealed tonight?

 

Such a weird match. The odd comedy spots. The food fight. Otis becoming a champion by sheer luck.

I had read, earlier this week, that Vince was really high on Otis, as an old school WWF type wrestler ... but I had no idea they were ready to go this far with him. Also makes it clearer that Bray is getting that title from Strowman, at some point. You know he's cashing in on a heel.

That said, I'm sure perfectcell fucking loved seeing Asuka kick Corbin off of a ladder. One of his favorites kicking his most hated.

 

Styles, Bryan, and Mysterio don't need it. Corbin's had it before, didn't help get him properly over then, won't help him now. So it was down to Black or Otis as 'proper' possible winners. They seem to have cooled on Black since his tag team with Ricochet ended and Otis is riding high from the Mandy story. Makes sense as a winner even if I would have gone with Black. Not liking the caught the dropped case aspect of the win though. Makes it too much of a fluke.

Glad Asuka won. She made the most sense winning other than Shayna, who they again seem to have cooled off on for whatever reason (not that I'm complaining. Don't need a rerun of her NXT title reigns). Asuka should be fun with the case, if they let her hang onto it for a while. Yelling and taunting with it in Japanese, dancing around with it. Should be good times.

EDIT: Oh, better idea. Have Asuka make Kairi carry the case around for her, do a slow build of Asuka treating Kairi as a lackey rather than a partner for an eventual Kairi face turn.

It really seems watching " The last ride" that the match with Reigns was supposed to be the end for Taker..... Gotta wonder why he came back...

Pretty much this.

Most of the other stuff I got a kick out of (Brother Love, Doink, invading Vince’s office while he’s working, the Animal House-style food fight, AJ’s past coming back to haunt him with the casket and the Boneyard Match flashbacks). Only minor problem was the Laurinaitis appearance, still don’t like the guy.
