Welp even though Sentinel and Scrapper were delayed again, someone new entered the ring! Also, how do I do the red gem eye mod?

 

This is where I'm at. The robot designs from the Bay films are phenomenal, it's a large part of why we're here discussing. The designs are obviously different from Bay to Knight, but once you get off Cybertron the similarities are readily apparent.

 

Dealt with the doors that stuck out from the back!

 

I think my biggest gripe is that for the latter part, Bay was one foot out the door and that truly hampered with any build up of a bigger storyline akin to what Marvel did. The designs have been wonderful and to some, this is their g1 and will be fondly be remembered. With that said, TF6 should come out with or without him. For me there will be no issue with more TF movies as long as they are great.

 

they are more "kuddly"in Knightverse, less sharp pointy stuff sticking out than Bayverse.. personally I liked Bee-Bee to.. would have prevered being save by him over Bay-Bee.. less chance of a puncture anywhere ;-)

Hi, did the bottom of the tanks on shoulders came paintedo on your copy or did you paint them? They bother me so much since they are the only gray unpainted plastic in this figure and visible from front.

 

Lockdown was never taller than about halfway up Optimus' chest. Lots of clever angles and shots to make him seem bigger than he actually was. In your own screenshot, take perspective into account, Lockdown is closer to the camera and therefore appears larger than he is, his feet are partially concealed by dust but he's higher off the ground than Optimus, making him appear taller next to him. How you want your figures to look next to each other is personal preference, but if you're aiming for screen accuracy or a decent bot mode scale then Lockdown's height should be about mid chest on Optimus and no taller

This is where I'm at too.

Don't get me wrong, I love the weirdness of the Bayverse designs, and while I'm okay for something slightly more G1 inspired on the big screen, I would like more characters like Bumblebee carrying on some of the design elements from the previous movies. When the reboot Megatron shows up, I would like him to incorporate some of the sharp edges and hard angles of the Bayverse Megatron, for example.

That said, the unique designs are not worth the obnoxious elements of the Bay movies - the unlikable protagonists, questionable morality, and the annoying and sometimes offensive stereotypes.

Whatever happens, I'm a sucker, so I'm going to be buying the toys and seeing the movies either way.
