I am forever grateful to Bay for what he has given the franchise and what the films have done for the franchise.

That said, The Last Knight proved he's done. That was the first time it honestly seemed like he didn't care, and that's OK! After 5 movies it's understandable to be burned out.

 

Funny you should mention that. A few days ago, I saw them in the backyard dancing around a burning dummy of Overload.

 

Aww man. I'm sorry, I get how you feel. A week's a long time for delivery, only to be extended? Dang.

 

I doubt it's true but all this discussion about Bay coming back does make me want a Transformers 6.

Believe me, I hated TLk. It was truly a dumpster fire and definitely showed Bays lack of interest in the franchise and making a cohesive movie. But one thing I will always give him credit for is doing off the wall crazy stuff in his films.

A 6th film directed by Bay where Unicron becomes activated would be absolutely insane! Would it be good? No. Absolutely not but it would be an incredible spectacle to be sure and part of me is sad that we won't be able to see that come to fruition.

However, I'm very grateful for the new direction of the films. It was so evident that Knight actually had a passion for this franchise and wanted to recreate something that he remembered fondly from his childhood. I don't love the G1 designs but the heart and genuineness of Bumblebee was a great bit of fresh air.

 

The future of the Transformers movie verse is with the Bumblebee universe. TLK in particular should never have happened. Bay did great work, especially the first three movies, but Bumblebee / Travis Knight showed where the movies could go while staying grounded within the universe themes Bay started.

I didn't get him because of his size, sculpt and articulation.

 

It's that lowest common denominator pandering mindset that makes me miss Michael Bay already lmaoo. He brought creativity and a breath of fresh air to the franchise, and Hasbro is just going back on that to worship the 40 year old cartoon

As far as BA Prime, I do agree that he's in a whole different category as far as accuracy. However I'm really looking forward to getting BA Ironhide soon, as he'll be just as detailed, and in scale with the rest of the team!!

Yes!! I'd be perfectly fine with this!! While TLK sucked ass, I'd like a conclusion to the story. I wouldn't mind Knight doing his own thing, but I'm personally gonna need the movie to be focused more on the bots and less on the humans. I think that Bay did good in balancing that, with the exception of TLK.

I get that the Bee movie was human focused because Bee lost his memory, but they could've went in a different direction. I mean seriously, they could've just called the Movie, Charlie And Her Yellow Beetle.

I considered that, and if anything that would make it tougher to fit my collection in my house, as I share display space with wifey, and my son..mostly wifey, as my son keeps most of his collection in his room.

I'll agree that bigger isn't always better. A perfect example of that are BMB's Prime and Ironhide who are unnecessarily OS, as they really have minimal, to no improvements in the mold.

That, however, isn't the case with BA Prime. He's just a work of art in my book.

You gotta do you. He's definitely not 22cm though. It says 24cm in the pic and that's right. I'm hoping for a better version.
