Hopefully we don’t get these guys AGAIN in part three. At this point I’m assuming Siege was the last, Earthrise is the present, and part three will be the future, so Rodimus, Galvatron, etc. We shall see.

 

I think that's for sure. Siege's packaging artwork featured the Ark launching and now Earthrise's has Galvatron... I think they're intentional hints at the next theme. Weird that Arcee is here and Springer was in Siege, though.

 

The ones that come to mind for "used the same mold for two of the limbs" are Superion and Menasor, where they originally didn't use the same mold for two limbs until the fanbase begged them to replace the new nobody characters (who were both great IMO) with the original mold-reuse characters.

I'm hoping part 3 has minimal character re-do and gives us mostly characters that haven't had a toy in Siege and Earthrise.
And that they finish the Autobot Targetmaster team (both the big bots and the target master guns).

True. I was just using retail figures, not the exclusives (which should also include Megatronia with Victorion).

 

Yeah, could you imagine the outrage if instead Earthrise Prowl and Ironhide were the mainline figures and the only way to get the new Alicons was from an exclusive two pack found only at Target?

 

Do you guys think there is any chance of Bluestreak and Ratchet getting mainline releases in ER with earthmodes?

 

I don't know about Bluestreak (maybe Selects?) but we have a listing for Ratchet as "Fan Channel" for Earthrise.

 

Probably because Hasbro are likely going to do TFTM/G1 Season 3 characters in WFC Part 3 and those guys wouldn’t really fit, despite their appearance in TFTM, which was really only to kill them off.

 

I think bluestreak is one of the unrevealed wave 4 deluxes

 

I guess the thing of it is why does it matter that we're getting Earth mode versions so soon? It was bound to happen sooner or later, so might as well get it out of the way now and make room for more unique characters to come in the future.

But the disappointment I think is unwarranted. Unless of course by "Earthmode" you are hoping it meant for them to turn into a lion and an elephant, in which case I can't help you there.

Sounds like a likely pass for me. I get the burnout with 84-85 a lot of people are having...other than the OMNIBOTS I am pretty much there myself...

 

A lion and elephant two pack would be very disappointing.... You'd be missing the Silverbolt "Earthmode" eagle!

 

Of all the SIEGE characters to get EARTHRISE versions Ironhide/Ratchet & Prowl are definitely the best picks, for one they can be remolded into other characters and number B they were two of the most alien looking alt-mode figures from SIEGE so these will be like brand new figures.

Now if you were to say this about an EARTHRISE Hound & Sideswipe I'd understand, not a whole lot they could do differently with those two SIEGE molds to make them earthy and only one of them can be used for remold characters.

Maybe we'll get Earth Alt-Mode versions of the Season 3 Characters in War for Cybertron Part 3. I'd be down for Earth Alt-Mode Ultra Magnus, Springer, & Arcee. Plus they'd get a chance to redo and fix all those figure's flaws!

I think it largely is if you can imagine it without the shoulder cannons(product description mentions 2 guns but I think it refers to 1 each per Prowl and Ironhide)

I'd also like to see his front bumper/chest get retooled, but I'll be fine if it doesn't.

 

Maybe Hasbro's racing to get the TFTM dead characters out so they can have a corpse boxed set in WFC 3. A boxed set purely for re-enacting all the deaths.

Gray Optimus. Screaming in agony Prowl. Ironhide and Ratchet with battle damage, broken chest windows. Purple "hit" blast effects. Maybe throw a Brawn with battle damage in somewhere.

And an extra shiny Starscream with 5mm Megatron Pistol weapon that uses blast effects.

One of the greatest scenes in TF History. Love everything about it.
