FT stated he was going in for a redesign/v2 not too long ago. I don't mess with pre-orders at those sketchy places that post them before the full price is known, and I certainly wouldn't pay anything up front.

X-tb also has Trailbreaker looking really good. And he's half price when FT version is bumped up to 150 usd.

I just hope that FT comes to their senses and lower the prices a bit.
Because i don't see price spike with x-tb, mmc and dx-9.
I think these 3 companies are direct compatitors.

 

Yeah, I've already got the XTB one, so I'll have to wait and see how nice FT's version is before I jump on it

 

All it means is that they are accepting preorders as of now, nothing more. I placed my preorder for Chomp with my seller in August of last year and still no news of a release date.

 

He does look good.

 

Can't wait to get him (and hopefully a re-release of Lupus).
But I do think his legs... for a croc... are kinda long. I wish they'd fold into themselves a little more.

 

He does indeed, I love all that G1 blocky sunbow chunkiness. Alt mode is still off but it still looks good!

 

Hope this guy comes this year.

Right now the pre-order price for around $120, $130, almost too good to be true compare to recent FT real releases.

 

They should have at least designs ready soon, but maybe we need some other company to announce competition for them to reveal it

 

Where is the preorder even available? The only site I know of with one is ShowZ who only has a deposit, and who should be ignored as far as having a preorder meaning anything beyond it has been announced. I can't judge the info without knowing who it is from.

FT promised news at the next TFCon which means they technically have until September to keep that promise, though I still hope we will get an update this month since this is when it was supposed to happen.

 

Yeah I don't know why but I'm more excited about this than most of the bigger characters. Dracula is so great, and we know it'll probably have a nice simpler than normal transformation

 

Wish they'd hurry up with this guy. Got a crocodile-shaped gap on my shelf that's been bugging me for ages.

I don't ignore far out preorders from reputable Chinese sellers, even if they are just for minimal deposits.
Baba has preorders along with various sellers on Taobao.

 

Nice to see Mindwipe with his wings out. They give him those great articulated wings and most people seem to fold to them away. Damn shame. Lovely display, btw.

Agreed. I preorder anything I can now from showz. I’ve come out ahead several times when the final price went up. Unicron alone saved me over $100.

 

Unicron had a price, most FT items on their site is $1 deposit with no price and will be about same with other sites when released....doubt you'll get a great deal as you did with Unicron.
