I want to complete my current collection, what do you suggest between MP10 and MP44?

 

MP44

 

Depends whether you prefer toon accuracy or shogo hasui's style.

 

Is this a trick/ troll question?

 

They're both terrific figures. MP44 looks like he stepped straight out of the cartoon, while MP10 is an interpretation of the character, influenced by cartoon/toy/comic. MP44 has way better articulation and is more expressive, while MP10 is a lot easier (and arguably more fun) to transform. Both absolutely have their merits. I guess it depends on your budget and whether you want 100% toon accuracy or just a cool looking bot.

You can't go wrong with either!

l'd also like to add, while MP-44 goes straight for the cartoon looks, MP-10 goes the hybrid route but also goes beyond that. For example, the yellow pieces you see on Prime's waistplate were opaque on the cartoon and straight chromed silver on the toy. For MP-10 they said f*+*^} it and just made it look nice by going neither route; they made them separate translucent pieces. Might sound like a unsubstantial difference on paper by makes a big difference in person.

 

So Amazon Japan said it would be $376 shipped as of yesterday.

I checked this morning now it says can't ship to your location.

Apparently now shipping included it will be $429.

That is a $53 increase.

I'm going to stick with ebay unless that auction does not bode well.

If it was from the same shop, they could have changed it to Japan only shipping..but most likely it was sold already

 

I kinda really want this figure now. At first it didn't appeal to me, but the more I look at photos people post, the more I want it

 

I wish they had done the same thing on MP-44. Or anything other than what they did with the painted yellow on MP-44's waist. That yellow paint chips like crazy. It's by far my biggest complaint about the figure (hand in hand with the price, which at that price there shouldn't be any complaints). The red and blue paint seem fairly durable. The white chips but it's only apparent when looking up close. The gray chips too easily but it's more or less in places that are hidden such as under his armpit. Would it have really looked that bad to have those tiny yellow rectangles and arrows on his waist be the sole unpainted surfaces on the figure?

This trend towards fully painting all figures (TOYS) so that they don't look too much like TOYS is destroying a lot of the fun in this hobby.

 

Quarantine is giving me time to mess around with figures I haven’t touched in a while! I saw this little guy and immediately thought of switching their weapons lol.

Nice! Love the mini me Hybrid Style Convoy bot mode. Vehicle mode however, is not so good.  

 

MP44 for Prime, MP10B for Nemesis

So I'm late to the show as it were, but having waited and read what I can on MP-44 I'm still not sure if I should get him or not?

What is general feeling on MP-44?
