Ya know what's funny? Watching these Clone Wars episodes, which are phenomenal overall, made me miss Rebels a bit, which I never expected. But there really is an OT vibe in Rebels that I think a lot of us missed when we watched it and went "This isn't Clone Wars," but with time passing, I'm really warming up to Rebels and think I'll be doing a rewatch soon.

I haven't seen the CW finale yet, will do that when I'm home from work.

 

Well if those Rebel follow up rumors are any bit true, we’ll be seeing them again along with Ezra, Sabine, and Thrawn.

 

Can do without the other three, but I hope we get a conclusion for Rex and Ahsoka that's satisfying. I really liked her character in Rebels, but I hated how unresolved her story was. At least Rex stayed with the Rebellion.

 

Spoiler: that final scene

I want to believe that scene takes place during the middle of Rebels season 2, after the season premiere where Vader learns Ahsoka may be alive, and then goes out looking for any proof that she died or not.

 

I’ve compared The Clone Wars to a giant library shelf full of books, due to its non-chronological order. There are lots of books you don’t mind picking up again and love to, but there are lots of books you don’t care to pick up again if at all. The show’s sprawling canvas of a years long, galaxy-spanning war - and now its presence on a streaming service - means that you can skip or ignore the dumb stuff and stay with the good, top tier stuff. Me being someone who never was fully dedicated to the show during its original run, but joined towards the end of Season 5, I didn’t have to experience four weeks of stuff like the droid four parter. I got a taste of that this season with the sisters. But bottom line, my experience has been on streaming services mostly. So my top 10 favorite episodes are influenced by my own experience. There’s lots of episodes I haven’t watched, and many that I may never. But that doesn’t change how much I really love this show.

It may be before, slightly after ROTS, when he realizes the ship never reached its destination and went looking for her, and him finding the lightsaber and looking up to space (and seeing the convor bird) is him contemplating the likelihood of her survival.

It was possibly one of the greatest little moments in Star Wars.

Based on storm and snow troopers I'd have to believe it takes place a little while after ROTS. I can't imagine they'd have switched uniforms that quickly. Plus the imperial shuttle is OT and not the previous design.

 

Celebrating ‘Star Wars’ Day: ‘Clone Wars’ director shares behind-the-scenes secrets

Clone Armor was phased out about three years after the Order, with the last batch of Clones wearing Stormtrooper and Purge Trooper armor at the Battle of Mon Cala in Darth Vader (2017) #13. In any case, it would have taken years to find the wreckage as the destroyer was lost partway through a hyperspace jump from Mandalore to Corusant. There is a large amount of space between those two planets, as well as the fact that they would have to scour entire moons to find them.

 

I was confused why the episode came out today instead of Friday.
Then I realised it's May the 4th.
Good last episode.

 

Ahsoka went off with Sabine to find Ezra. They'll have to do that story eventually.

 

That's what I'm saying. We never saw her story resolve, we just saw it kind of... stop, left open for "will they find him?" I want to see that and what comes after.

It's funny how the character I hated most when this show started is now pretty much the only one I like now that it's over. Every other one is either dead or ruined by Disney. So far Ahsoka (and Rex) have been barely able to avoid being killed off or torn down under the new management, and I'm hoping that good luck protects them at least until we get some kind of conclusion for their stories.

Personally, I think the ending takes place sometime after season 2 of Rebels. It may even be as far as just prior to TESB, when the Empire is busy sending probes out to remote systems to search for Rebel bases. Maybe a probe discovered the Venator wreckage prompting an investigation?

On IMDB, for the highest rated of all time TV episodes, The Phantom Apprentice and Shattered have dropped from 4th and 5th place to 5th and 6th.

They salvaged R7 before they left. Granted it was pretty obviously destroyed, but it was Ahsoka's droid for years, and seeing it trashed was sad even if it wasn't as much of a character as R2.

Well Rex stayed with the Rebellion as he was confirmed to be one of the soilders on endor. So we can be happy knowing that he probably died of old age.

 

Actually its not over. Theres enough scripts for 40 episodes and even though they wont do it for the fans im almost certain they’ll release even more for the love of money.
