I read pretty much all the previous IDW comics and I was ok with it ending after such a long (and possibly drawn out) run. I was fine with a reboot. I still am. But I have limited time (covid-19 aside) and after being disappointed with other things in the past (Doctor who series 11,IDW's Tmnt comics,Tom Brady leaving the patriots-just to name a few) I just wanted to know if it was worth it ya know what I mean? And yes I'm a legit Transformers fan.(In some peoples eyes your not a proper TF fan if you don't watch/read/like everything, which I think is absurd but anyway) If someone could tell me it would be very much appreciated.
I’m pretty high on the first 25 issues. I think Ruckley’s building something pretty special, though deliberately paced. The Galaxies series is also really good, particularly the Cliffjumper 2-parter.
It is good. A lot of people are unhappy with the slow pace but I'm enjoying it. Nice to see characters like Road Rage, Quake, Tap Out and Glyph get some attention. Galaxies is good. The Constructicons get some characterisation and the Deathsaurus/ Cliffjumper 2 parter is good.
Deleted my last post because i hadnt read amything from the series yet but I bought the vol 1 from this and i must say, it was great!! The cracks beneath your feet were great and so was the rest of it.
It's OK, but VERY slow paced. Better to wait for trades because it's barely readable in a floppy format.
Here are some old threads in which people comment and vote on similar topics: Do we think the IDW 2.0 TF will be better than the 1.0 stuff Idw2 is improving
i think it is basically a tire fire. i only look at it to see if the shape has changed at all. i dont even know what issue they are on at this point. but literally nothing interesting has happened to the main line characters in these books.. the side books and random stories are always better than the monthly snoozefest.
Is it just the main book and Galaxies so far in this continuity, or have there been any one-shots or minis I've missed?
There was a Valentines mini which was surprisingly fun if not a little cheesy featuring Glyph and her boyfriend Tap-Out.
