One of the nice things about not being able to get to stores for that new toy fix is it gives me a chance to go through the old stuff.

If we were to get Star Saber and Deathsaurus in a Generations line (all indications seem to suggest that Hasbro is open to the idea), that bodes well for the inclusion of other Japanese leaders making the transition to the western market in the future as well. A new Magmatron, Big Convoy and Lio Convoy would be fantastic.

I was kinda joking, I just know TFA & BM are not as generally as well loved. That said, when you think about TF cartoons, besides BW there aren't many (any?) that have universal acclaim

Would you believe I didn't like Beast Wars at first. I much preferred.

Hopefully the upcoming Netflix series will be as well received as Beast Wars.

I regret my initial dismay at Beast Wars due to the shift to all animal alt modes but I eventually came around. However I passed on most of the toyline when it was in stores.

It was 1 of the most consistent Hasbro lines made were full articulation was almost the norm all across the board. I remember 20 some years back being tempted but largely passing on most figures I saw.

Some of the toys have aged very well especially compared to mainline figures we get these days. Another reason I'll probably be happier tracking down vintage Beast Wars figures over any new Generations ones.

It's astounding to look back at Ultra class Primal from 1996 being $20 and what $20 today gets you(yes inflation and other reasons ad nauseum I get it). Primal is still 1 of my favorite figures and I wish the MP did more to emulate it(I have MP-38).

Added tiny magnets in order to give Cheetor some extra weapons and a way to store them:

I'd say the absolute best of the BM Maximal Deluxes was Blackarachnia, but Snarl isn't a bad figure really; I only have the Universe version of him, but it's a solid enough toy for the most part....just the lion mane and limited head articulation stick with me as issues for the figure.

Skydive I flip-flop on. He's a gangly mess of balljointed limbs in bot mode, but I quite like his alien proportions and the sculpted detail of a "damaged" spark crystal in his chest. The Quetzalcoatlus beast mode is pretty rad though, and the amount of sculpt packed into it makes up for a lot of the figure's shortcomings in my book.

I decided to pull out BM Primal for a bit today, but I can't find the Deluxe and it's driving me crazy where it could've gone (I usually keep lines together in storage)?! Blast Punch had to substitute for the time being...

Haha, guess he does a bit! That's the Universe repaint of Cybertron Scourge as RID Bruticus (which was a Cerberus figure intended for Beast Machines, but released in the following line after BM was cancelled).

I wish we'd seen more repaints of Cybertron beasts homaging BW/M characters, to be honest. The aesthetic for those beast-formers wasn't a million miles away from the TM2's (just without a lot of the asymmetry).

    Snarl as Wolfang or Silverbolt
    Brimstone as Terrorsaur or Skydive
    Wreckloose as Iguanus
    Backstop as Rhinox

    I'd have bought them all.

That's actually a good point you make here. With how Cybertron's design choice for the Beasts formers in it evoke a lot of the TM2's designs I'm surprised that the molds there weren't repainted into certain BW characters in some fashion or another especially with how Cybertron gave us their take on Optimus Primal and BW Megatron too which would've fit alongside just nicely.
