That just seems really forced and overcomplicated, tbh. All three of those characters were utterly obliterated in the movie. I doubt many moviegoers would even remember Blitzwing from Bumblebee; he was more of a plot device than an actual character.

Besides, Blitzwing was never referred to by name in the movie, so there’s no reason that a more G1 inspired version of the character couldn’t appear in a future sequel.

    This, honestly. All of this.
Coming from someone who's always ready for homages to Animated, I still truly believe that FrankenShatterDropBlitzenstein is...NOT a good dea.

I just read today about the 2022 release for a new Transformers movie. I am so ready for a new one and will be one of the first in the movie theaters.

Well, if the theaters are open again by them. Who knows how long this COVID19 mess is going to last.

Will work only if the time setting is changed. Making it the stone age. To have some human interaction. Or else it will never work.

I would actually prefer if an animated Beast Wars movie is made as a sequel by the original Mainframe team and wraps up loose ends from Beast Machines, for Beast Wars' 25th anniversary.

I don't doubt that Beast Wars couldn't be made into a live action movie. I just don't think it's the best venue for that series.

Just the budget needed to make the movie will make me doubt it sometimes

Hmm you gave me an idea, what if there is a brother of Blitzwing, like Dreadwing and Skyquake from Transformers Prime, who takes on Blitzwing name to avenge him, perfect opportunity to create a more G1 Blitzwing for the Bumblebee universe

I think, if they were to do a Beast Wars film, it should be in an ancient China setting with a TM2 Megatron as the main villain. Could assemble the cast around the Chinese Zodiac if they want to continue the idea that TF influenced human history.

I can’t imagine a beast wars live action movie NOT looking ridiculous. Also, it’s not going to mesh with the original story because they have to bring in casual movie fans with the “human element”... so is the story about how a girl’s chihuahua is actually a 16ft tall robot? I think a live action My Little Pony is a better option. If I want to see a monkey fight a trex I’ll watch King Kong.

    *sigh*

This is going to be a pain in the ass.

I think that, not because I want it, but because it would sell better, the Bumblebee movie will be the one coming out in 2022. Beast Wars... yes, there is a fanbase. Yes, it would be cool. But there just isn't a very good writer attached, and Generations showed us that Beast Wars doesn't sell well nowadays on toy shelves.

I... I just want a good movie. I don't care what the f#ck I'm watching. I just want it to entertain well.

To be honest I can't see how the idea of robots turning into organic looking animals would be hard to sell to GA considering that the Terminator movies have a similar concept with their Terminator units having organic skin on them and nobody minded that. Especially since you can just have the animal skin be made out synthetic material that blocks out Energon readings so it won't be literal flesh and bone. Or use an example from Cybertron/Galaxy Force where beast formers look like a good mesh of organic and mechanical material. It's really not hard to help sell the concept to GA especially in a time where people are accepting a talking raccoon and tree in movies right now.

The future of live action Transformers movies is with the Bumblebee universe. The first film had heart, didn’t overextend, and established a good foundation. Not building on it would be like, well what we’ve already had with the Bay films: a chaotic mess.

Animated movies can be made obviously faster then any type of live action.
with beast wars 25th coming next year why not just have that be a animated film.
i disagree with people claiming beast wars sells poorly.
the problem with the generation figures was they only included 2 characters at least the latest time they were in the line.
if anyone\'s like me they don\'t want a half cast it still erks me that we didn\'t get a full team for both sides.

This is almost certainly Bumblebee 2. Scripting has been in progress since March 2019 - so filming starting in 2021 for a 2022 release seems appropriate.

Here is my view on the potential release dates of the planned films:
    • Bumblebee 2: 2022
    • 'Transformers One' Animated Prequel: 2023
    • Beast Wars: 2024 (Depending on the success of Bumblebee 2)
    • Bumblebee 3: 2025 (Depending on the success of Bumblebee 2)
In regards to Beast Wars, I want to see it happen for the visuals, but cannot see it working in a human setting. Best option would be something akin to the original concept, where the alt-modes are to protect against Energon radiation rather than to hide from humans. Adding humans into the mix simply would not work.
