I know that Dangard Ace made one for the Taiho version. Might want to ask them.

 

Is there a later run of Savant that comes with the improved face?

My Overheat does not have the new face.

 

Pretty sure all overheats came with a new face for Savant. Mine did.

 

I think that was only the first run. Some people who got the overheat sold theirs to people who wanted them (I sold mine to another board member as well). You can also try hitting up XTB customer service - it'll probably cost you 5 bucks.

 

Email XTB support and let them know yours didn't come with the face and have them send you one.

 

I got Overheat maybe 3 or 4 months ago and didn't get the new face either, but a member sent me one 8 months ago so I wasn't too worried.

 

On reading this thread, it seems XTB ran out of Savant's head a long time ago.

Yup, at this scale I can only make her arms and legs so thin before they're too delicate so she is a little on the thicc side. I wanted to make her bigger but all the MP humans were this size. Now that Hound has come with a bigger Spike, though, I might be rethinking that. I've been thinking of getting back to work on Circuit Breaker (her costume is a pain to model) and, if I do, I think I'll go with a bigger size.

Any chance there's an easy "How-To" to get the headlights out so I can paint them yellow?

 

Man, I just don't get where they got that ugly head design, it looks more badass just popping the toy head on there.

 

Use a small flat head screwdriver and push it out from the back... I think it's been covered here... Google x transbots savant headlight custom if you don't want to manually go back and check page by page

 

Savant's head is based on Skids' animation model. For what little we saw of it. I agree the toy head is far better, but XTB didn't pull this toy's head design out of their ass.

 

It's the design he had in the cartoon and comic. His issue of the comic, No 20, is my favorite issue, so I'm actually glad they went with this design. That said, it would've been nice to include the alternate head, especially since they were already designing it for the repaint.

 

Oh damn, I never saw that repaint has a different head. Yeah, it woulda been cool to get both like Hoist.
