Been burned to often by china sellers going bad even when on the good seller list
They can still go bad .
So i asked baba if he can get transformers not in his ebay listing .he asked what i told him and he had it .
So its always worth asking a trusted seller if they got it or can get it .
Before attempting a low feedback possible scamboy. Thats what im doing from now on still waiting paypal decide on refund from optimus lego man from qintiyanuming

Update on my order from animetropolis. A fucking-unmitigated disaster. I purchased my paints on April 1st. After bugging them for 2 weeks, they didn't put tracking information in/drop off till the 14th. The estimated delivery was June 4th. Out of nowhere the package delivers yesterday. Open the box up to find that they forgot to ship out 3 of the 12 bottles of paint. I will never order from these assholes again since they couldn't get any of this right. The whole reason I ordered from them was because this Gaia paint is so hard to get a hold of. Let's see what 12 negative feedback scores do to get their attention.

We discussed them a little bit back on 22-Apr here, the general feeling was based on their item pricing, availability, and suspicious feedback history that they looked like absolute scammers. While I hope you get lucky, I recommend watching your shipment very closely and preparing to file a claim with Paypal.

Sounds frustrating, but your reaction does seem a little harsh, they took awhile to ship out, but seems like shipping and transit times were pretty good, especially for the slowdown of most international shipping right now, and they did apparently get 9 of the 12 items correct, which, from a percentages game is still bad, but not a total loss. Maybe 3 negatives, and 9 neutral? 12 negative just seems a bit harsh if you still got 3/4 of your order in a relatively timely manner during all this slowdown, but, just my 2 cents on the matter.

The slow down/Pandemic shouldn't be a reason to not hold someone accountable for actions that weren't affected by the shipping company. I ordered a Star Convoy from TFSafari and it came in 2 weeks, no issues there at all. I sold many things myself to board members and on eBay and that didn't stop me from getting the right items in the box and getting them out the door on time. At the very least they should have gotten the right product in the damn box. Maybe all 12 negatives is a little harsh. I may go 3 negatives and the rest neutral or leave no other feedback but part of me thinks that if you're running a business and if you need to be accountable for your actions. Looking at their other negative feedbacks recently the some of the most recent ones were the same deal, forgot to ship or didn't ship the right product. I think a smack of 12 negatives consecutively would get their attention real quick but I'll wait till they get back to me.

What’s the wait time for stuff from China like these days? Are packages still getting shipped out?

I would stay away from china sellers unless their highly reputable ones like baba, showz, or tfdirect. Even then, their is a major back log of stuff. I placed an order with ebay seller shwi7900 on 4/21 and still haven't received a ship notice or even a reply back with an update.

Baba, ShowZ, TFD, and numerous other sellers are all experiencing most of the same holdups. I've still gotten shipments from China faster than many from California of late. There are plenty of Chinese sellers that are trustworthy, we have an entire post on the first page full of them, the higher up on the list they are, the more likely they are to still be.

My experience, other than the cost of shipping and release schedule, not much has really changed with buying from China of late, not least that there are still scammers, still customs hold-ups, and still legit sellers trying to deliver products.

I was looking at ft-16m prices on eBay and toyclub89 is a good 50 dollars or more lower than everyone else. One day bid who is one of the more legit sellers (questions about whether the item they sell is really new but you will get the figure you are buying and not some Lego ko) is selling it close to 70 bucks higher.

I just scooped up the last ft-16m from Sara Zhang (eyou collection) on her website which is around 285 usd shipped. Expensive but I can't do anything but pay the late tax. I'll have to wait before getting it mind you with shipping all messed up right now.

I thought there was news that FansToys are finally getting their own factory so we will be seeing reruns of all figures like Lupus and the Insecticons eventually?

They're definitely still shipping. I have ordered and received 1 package over eBay from Day366 while the pandemic was in effect, and one on the way from bababobo, but that will probably not arrive until after the next pandemic since it's been sent with speedpak

I'd actually only heard that from BSF when he reviewed their Sheridan, where he basically decided he was going to rate the quality of materials only on the scale of whether it was their own new factory, or the previous one... which seemed rather silly, but the idea of them having their own factory to speed up production as well as the ability to reissue more releases is very exciting, especially if it kills the ridiculous aftermarket prices. Not sure what it'll mean for the absurd amount of scammers that very heavily try to push FT releases in their scams, though.

I'd forget about 12 negative comments. You'll just look like a kid with a tantrum, and not just to the seller but also to whoever bothers to check the reviews. A more balanced review would probably make them a lot more receptive of your (justified) criticism that wildly flailing about.

And while I'm playing devil's advocate (btw, is it devil or Devil, since this is -the- devil?) I know that being late in actually sending stuff is not proper customer care, and you said you can ship stuff out the same day, but what if this is a multi-person business and only a quarter of their staff is allowed to work at the same time, or any staff at all, because of social distancing? That would slow down the process a lot and doesn't seem too unlike atm.

Scammers will be scammers. I'm sure Transformers aren't the only things they use. And you're right, I also have my intel from Skully, now you mention it! I just hope by the time I can be bothered to collect the '86 Movie characters, FT are just about to rerelease them all!

You know at this point I forgive the delay in shipping, it's more the fact they forgot to put product in the box. I did hear back from them last night. According to them they said someone else got my package. I find that hard to believe that someone else bought the exact same paints. More likely they put the missing bottles of my paint in another box. According to them, they will be sending out a replacement shipment with the two missing bottles, but I'm skeptical to say the least. I wait to see what, if any, replacement shipment information I may or may not get.

See, it's not all that bad. You missed 3 out of 12 bottles and they're sending you 2 and you don't even notice! :p

I worry that with all this scamming going around.. paypal may change their policy and make things a bit harder.. ebay has to do a better job.. don't know how as others on the board suggested people can just get new accounts etc .. or buy legit accounts

that’s not a good thing at all. Previously it could take up to 30 days for a claim to come through, but I have never lost one, not even when I was sent something incorrectly.

If a seller in China ships your eBay item to the U.S. with SpeedPak, is it going to be delayed? Not a big deal, just wondering if it's going to sit in limbo.

Ordered CW Rodimus minibot for cheap to go with my Generations Select Star Convoy. I figured if I don't buy it now, I'm not going to like paying more than $10 down the road, lol. And I'm just going to use sticky tack on the axe so Rodimus has a spoiler in bot mode. :p
