I fear some circular logic will be used such as Orthia's limbs and Chromia being a new mold with many design cues of said limbbots as an excuse to say female molds don't sell well when in Chromia's case it was quite likely a case of fatigue of the same basic design for female bots. Then again there was the absurdity of Chromia shelf-warming over in the US while she was seemingly never released on general retail over here ><
More variety I say! The fact that both times they've done a 'create a bot' poll, female gender has won out should tell them something... fingers crossed the Bumblebee movie's success - who's headline villain was female - may help in the future too.

 

I figure Elita-1 will be an Arcee retool. She's got a fairly consistent similar design in Netflix and IDW that's carbot sized.

 

Yeah that'd be my guess as well, especially as we've seen her in the trailer for the Netflix series. I'd guess either a Selects release or part of a new Netflix toy series, though we've not seen remolds for the Netflix toys yet which would suggest a Selects toy but who knows?
Still preferable as she's always seemed like she'd probably be a car of some sort based on the robot mode going back to the original cartoon, which is preferable to how for instance around Transformers Prime time suddenly every fembot was a bike because Hasbro just used the current token female mold

If Paradron Medic is Lifeline (G.I.Joe nod), maybe Animated Red Alert could be Doc? D.O.C.? (Diagnostic Offensive Configuration? Diagnostica Optronix Chiron, DOC for short?)

Side note. Jazz is one of the most nonsensical names for a Cybertronian so assuming trademark issues still force them to do "Autobot Jazz" or "Agent Jazz", why not go all out and make it an acronym, J.A.Z.Z.?

 

I wanted to say this.

I want a C.O.M.B.A.T. Targetmaster Megatron. For years, "We cant make Megatron a Pistol". Why not a Targetmaster version of Megatron that turns into a Pistol? Would be a special mold, but would be totally worth it to have Earthrise Starscream or Siege Soundwave holding Megatron and using him in battle. I cant be the only one who wants this.

I just noticed that to the extent this is reliable, it confirms the Season 3 Dinobot shrinkage.

Grimlock should be a WFC Leader based on this and given his relative scale to other Dinobots remains intact generally onscreen, that probably takes us around to leaders for the others and Voyager Swoop.

 

I think Scorponock is amazing! I'm very excited for him however what's even MORE exciting is thinking about who the next Titans Class figure could be. G1 is done and I doubt they will just start G1 all over again with Metroplex, Fort Max etc. For the first time in a long time it's a complete mystery as to where they will go next.

 

Warden has said he wants to redo Metroplex since he wasnt involved with him and finds him out of date with the current standards which hes not wrong. theres still an omega sentinel that could happen. there’s still G1 to do

 

I want some of the Japanese G1 giants done next.

 

Have you actually watched that interview? Because it's often taken out of context, I haven't seen it recently, I highly suggest someone share it because he did not say what many are saying he said.

JW didnt get to work on Metroplex, he was asked something akin to what character he'd like to work on and he said Metroplex, I dont recall anything besides that and it doesn't mean JW will push for Metroplex in 2021 or 2022. His favorite character is Roadbuster right? We haven't seen him since T30.

Could it explicitly mean a new Metroplex ? Doubtful but eventually we will get another one almost guaranteed

 

T30 Metroplex is 7 years old. 8 by 2021 that’s nearly a whole decade of new fans and collectors. If they wanna remake him by all means go ahead. I want a metroplex that’s got the same play pattern we got with Trypticon Omega and Scorponok and all the leaders of the past couple years with their Titan integrat of ramps and such.

I think that Grandus would be perfect for the WFC 2021 Titan, fits in perfectly with Micromasters and the Micromaster Stations
Galaxy Shuttle would also be great, I'd really love a huge space shuttle that can do all the things a Shuttle should be able to do, a base mode would also be possible. Not to downplay Sky Lynx but bigger in some regards is better.

At the end of the day, these figures are meant as homages, not 1 for 1 modern recreations

You could say that about many figures, that line of circular thinking would keep G1 going over and over and over again and again and again, what about the dozens of other Titanic characters that have yet to be done?

If we're looking ahead to who the next Titan class figure might be, I'd definitely be interested in a new Metroplex (seeing as I missed my shot at the T30 one). I don't know who else is left from G1, other than the Japanese repaints. But if we go beyond G1, Armada Tidal Wave is a possibility.

 

I mean technically if they do make a new metroplex my T30 is getting repurposed as the IDW version of metrotitan since the colors match. Haha
