Yeah that's exactly what I'm talking about. I just put a thin layer of superglue on top of the square peg below the knee (circled in red in the pic). Before, one of my legs had a super soft click when I rotated it together, and the other leg had nothing. Now, both legs click into place and they're super solid.
You have to separate them like moving a pair of scissors. The connectors are hook-shaped, and assumed in opposite directions.
There's a lot of transformers with connections like this and the instructions almost never make note of it. In some cases it can lead to breakage if one assumes to just pull out by force.
Sorry to bump but is it just me or is helicopter mode an absolute pain to get into? The arms never seem to align right for me under the chest/hood. They dont wanna lock in correctly undee the hood
It's been addressed a couple times, but the key is to make sure his hip joint is lined up before you try to snap it together, and make sure the lower hinges on the arm (that are a different color of grey) are lined up right. It's tricky until you get used to it
In my experience the arm hinges at the chest end (darker grey) need to be pushed as far in as they can go when going into helicopter mode. It'll fight back as you try to get the arm connected onto the tab of the panel the foot is on, but just keep pushing back and make sure it stays behind the waist.
Ok so that part under his chest where the hinges are stationed at(the two round green bits) has a part right under the tucked in head that match that shape but there are two tiny little tabs there. If I push the green part holding the hinges over thode little tabs the whole front of the vehicle leans at an angle and you cant lock in the back of the cockpit. If you dont then nothing tabs in and i still cant get the arms to stay regardless. Its soooo annoying I remember this being a pain when i first bought the thing and a year later it still is giving me problems EDIT: I DID IT You basically gotta hook that hinge bit under the tabs and then force the whole car hood back even more. Good GOD Springer you just earned yourself a place in the back of the detolf for this
So I either lost, or never got the turret that's supposed to come with Springer. I didn't realize I was missing it until I went to transform him into helicopter mode, and I have no idea if I ever had it in the first place. Anyone happen to have an extra turret they don't need?
Turret? Do you mean the little pice to attach the swords to the top of the Henkei other for a spinning propellor?
If you’re still looking drop me a line. If you’re in the states I’ll drop it in the mail. I drilled out the hole on top to better fit a spare T30 sword I had. I liked that better, but now I can’t use the rotor he came with at all. I nearly tossed it in the trash the other day.
Just got Siege Springer in the mail today! $30 off of Ebay and included shipping. I was a tad worried because the person I purchased it from had 4 feedback notes and had just joined Ebay, so I was skeptical that the person who posted a Stock photo and stock description was going to send me something else because the rest of the items they were selling were all clothing items. (I guess that doesn't mean much.) Anyway! I love this figure, easily one of my favorite designs and I'm happy I didn't have to pay 2 or 3 times the price. Let's see how I feel after I transform him for the first time...lol
Found this guy at DD’s. He is much better than I expected. Tabbing can be a little tedious, but worth it for secure modes.
Just picked up Springer yesterday from my local Ross. Fantastic figure. I've searched but haven't found a response -- anyone know what's up with the tabs on the blades of his swords? EDIT: It's for effects parts, isn't it? D'OH
You mean these tabs? Those just tab in on springers back. Or do you mean the three little tabs towards the edge of the sword? those are just for blast effect.
View attachment 28756772 Or do you mean the three little tabs towards the edge of the sword? those are just for blast effect.[/QUOTE] The three tabs on the edge of the sword. But, as you say, for blast effects -- I felt pretty silly when that finally dawned on me. The other tabs are in the instructions, and almost painfully obvious.
