They're only available through a direct order, but I'm not really taking any orders again until mid to late summer. My printers are busy making PPE gear for healthcare workers, with a random one off test print here and there for my own projects.

Could someone take some comparison shots of JJ-02D Jet Eagle (Air Raid) with Earthrise Starscream in both robot and jet modes?

    Thanks in advance!

Quite a bit bigger than the mainline Starscream. These guys are more of an MP scale

Can someone please tell me, with the JJ Jet Commander Superion, is it possible to put the leg limbs on cartoon accurate, with the plane cones/tailfins in the back?

Yes, you just have to take the foot apart and flip the connector. You won't get a lot of leg bend, however.

He shows how to flip it around the 17 minute mark

Funny thing, but when I saw the CW Superion with the jets parts on the front of the lower leg (i.e. reversed compared to G1), my first thought was: why the hell didn't I do that in the 80's?!

Not only does it give Superion a better knee bend (or any at all for the G1), but I honestly think it looks a lot better. The arms have jet parts visible and having the same on the lower legs gives a sort of balance in design. Plus I think it looks strange to have a jet on the back of the legs.

So yes, it is possible to do them G1 with the JJ, but I will never do so.

And make knee covers is really easy to do, just 3 building block pieces by leg and that's it, even doesn't need to remove for transformation, one of the pieces is a rotary plate.

I always wondered why Menasor had the cars facing out, but Superior had the jets facing backwards.

Other thing to note is with the jets facing backwards, you have a bit of a clearance issue in the back. Can still get poses, though.

I still don't understand why this thread is titled "KO Superion." Literally the only thing they KOed was the engineering... every part of every figure seems to be different. Right? They're all completely remolded to be more show accurate in both modes.

How is this a KO instead of "taking Hasbro's idea and running with it?"

(I keep wanting to sell my Jet Commander and I keep not being able to do it because it's badass and it is the exact same size as Has/Tak Devvy and Predaking)

I get what he means. The amount of original work involved makes it hard to classify as a KO.

Okay, let me state it plainly, what is this a knockoff of? What mold did they steal?

This is a third party Superion, full stop. It uses NO Hasbro parts. Even the Combiner Pegs are different. The way the hands and feet attach are different. It's not a KO. This was a company looking at Combiner Wars Superion and saying "we can do this better," and doing that from scratch. The proportions of the figures isn't even the same! EVERYTHING had to be created from the ground up aside from the engineering, which to me has never defined whether a figure is original or not. (Figures with original engineering are especially original, but fundamentally how many TFs are "flip chest down, pull arms out, flip lower legs out?")

They absolutely stole the CAD files and ran with it from there.

Doesn't matter how many parts are different, doesn't matter if there's a size difference, and it doesn't matter how much improved it is.

It's not an original design by this company. Hasbro/TT designed it, JJ used that designed and changed it. It's at its core not an original design, but a copy of the Hasbro design. That makes it a KO. But because it happens more often that the K is different/improved, some fans use a different term. Like 4th party of Knock Up. Fancy words, but it still means that the original design is not by the company itself.

4th party isn't a thing... lets not keep trying to use it.

But I absolutely love your happenstance of coining the term "KnockUp" :lol

Jj01 and Jj02 are officially categorized as KnockedUp. :thumb

Sites continue to use the phrase and so do we. All it means is KO. It’s not going to go away.
