As if my week couldnt get any better this arrived today. The package is dinged as fuck and it smells like smoke but the figure is in perfect brand new condition. That's all that matters.

 

YIKES. I think I'll stick with using the ROTF Leader for truck mode and BA for bot mode.

Yikess dudeee! Sorry to hear that  I guess my theory that the later batch has more problems than the earlier batch was true after all... This figure is my favourite optimus figure and its kinda sad seeing alot of people having issues with it lately.

@Shmoptimus Prime and I got our Primes from the same batch, and I don't have any issues with mine. I actually had 2, and they were both fine. I think that all 3 of them were from the second batch.

Got it almost perfectly tabbed in and looking good....from certain angles. Have I mentioned the back wheels don't really roll? Still, looks pretty awesome. I think that black apple bit off more than he could chew here, which makes me really hope his "improved" ironhide is not a mess. It looks amazing so far though!

I might try showz if I can't fix it myself. I think that part has to rotate so dunno if I can glue it. It stays on if I push it in but falls off if I handle it too much.

Not sure what I'm gonna do yet. I think later tonight I'm gonna transform back to bot mode and assess if it's enough of a problem to attempt some sort of fix. I really do like my MPM4 better. He's a lot of fun, although I know you don't like him. This one's just kinda stiff.

I hadn't heard that but damn that's sad to hear. Aren't figures supposed to get BETTER when they make new batches. I was just really hoping it'd be the end-all-be-all transforming optimus that a lot of people claimed it is and despite some really cool and innovative upgrades it's just kinda clunky to me...

Yeah I ordered one. I think it's gonna improve the look of this thing a LOT. I'm also gonna try and make it still transformable. That's basically the perfect movie 1 Prime headsculpt.
