Throw in some red plastic pellets when making the Sunstreaker reissue & the molds are back at the factory = ¥¥¥¥¥ Cool for the Diaclone heads, love the black fenders, shame they didn't make his head a gloss black like Cordon tho. I do wonder if we will see anyone else or if the new developments got put on standby for Covid.
They decided from Megatron + that the plus could be used for the toy/cartoon variants. To be fair all the cartoon variants are over, Scream and Soundwave will have a V2/3 mold and that's it.
The worst part about getting this guy is having to headswap the toy accurate to Sunny once I get all these on the shelves. What do you think the odds are there'll be someone who wants all toon accurate heads to facilitate this swap?
Oh hell yes, that looks awesome!!! I love this mold and I don't think I can resist getting it in red. I can also see some people getting one and doing a head and shin swap with Sunstreaker for a toy accurate version.
I'm definitely happy to see and I will buy one. However, shouldn't "MP-39+" be reserved for the toy version deco MP Sunstreaker? I find their decision to make this the "+" instead of giving him his own number like they did with Cordon (MP-42)? That bothers me. It's no surprise that they're doing the red Diaclone one, but at the same time I was expecting Takara to release a toy version MP Sunstreaker sooner than later. It's kind of bittersweet for me.

You’re right. There’s no real pattern at all anymore. Luckily it doesn’t bother me too much and I will just sit back and enjoy their slightly chaotic numbering system lol
With all the cool other Diaclone retools it’s a shame there’s nothing for Hound. I’d love a nice civilian cyan for him to go with the other boys. I wouldn’t mind a black ironhide or if they, ever, make a blue bumblebee. In short Diaclone retools give me an odd nostalgia and feeling and I love them so pls don’t stop.
Damn if that isn't the sexiest alt mode I've ever seen. It looked good in yellow, but in Walter Wolf red? WOW. How difficult is it to swap heads and shins with the regular version?

Me too! I always hoped they'd use red Sunstreaker as an opportunity to really do the Walter Wolf Countach deco justice, and they have done exactly that! Well, except the shiny chrome spoiler of course! Bought for alt mode paint job alone! Even nicer if it has some stickers for the missing 'rallye racing' decals. What!! Red Bumblebee was my favourite G1 cartoon character! I loved that guy!! All red... and Bumblebee-y. Why, here he is...
