LOL I just did the same thing. I said free shipping with no other real perk wasn't worth $50. With Prime I at least have access to free movies tv shows and books and things. Their discounts paled next to target and meijers buy one get one 50% off deals throughout the year. The 1 day early access to exclusives was a joke because it was still a crap shoot on whether you would get a figure that was high demand or not (I did not get any figure this year. Didn't try because I knew the craziness it would be). The invite to the conventions does me no good because I can't afford to take off 4 and 5 days to travel and stay in hotels. And I miss the way TFCC did things with a free figure exclusive only to the premium members and if they did that I may renew. They could do something where they have an option of 1 figure from a choice of 7 different lines. Maybe you are a SW or Marvel junkie and don't want the transformer. So you could get some special deco stormtrooper or clone trooper not offered to the public. Or this year...they could have offered a teal green deco Cliffjumper to give us Tap Out. Or Maybe Clampdown. etc.

as it stands right now, Pulse has been way inferior to the original HasbroToyShop for me - the main thing i'd be interested in is the occasional discount code, like HTS used to give!

I was notified the Spy Patrol was shipping. Was also able to pre-order Lobclaw and Seawing today. Not even really sure I wanted them, just a crazy impulse buy. Hopped on to see if Frenzy (Rumble... the red one!) was available. Nope...

 

Likewise. I told them for $50, the value just wasn’t there.

 

My responses were direct, to the point, and scathing.
I told them how I was sick and tired of Star Wars and Marvel getting all the love all the time, and HasLab bored me to tears. I said I'll never attend SDCC, thus don't need that perk, etc.

Told 'em Amazon's worth paying for and I get so much more than free shipping. And I can buy most of their (Pulse's) product over there. I also told them HTS was better. (And it is/was.)

I did say I'd be willing to re-up if they'd do it like the first year, buy something, get renewed. I'd meet their $50.00 threshold to be fair, but $50.00 for this on top of all the meh? Nah.

Bit the bullet and got Lobclaw, and a er deluxe. I had a feeling if I waited longer for him with the other seacons he probably would’ve sold out.

 

Charged but no shipping yet. Seems FedEx even notifies me late now. Last time i got notified the day before it was delivered. Luckily i was home tge next day even though im in a pretty safe neighborhood that doesnt do porch pirates. Although theres always a first time and all.

 

Some survey suggestions I made:

Bonus parts bundles (extra heads/weapons/effects for retail figures) -- I was thinking of ML and WFC. For example maybe a retro heads pack for ML with Silver haired Mar-Vell, extra squinty Spider-Man, horned helm Iron Man, green Hulk with 1st app style head. Generic/missing/retro-inspired gun and Siege effect bundles for TFs. Power Rangers weapons. Maybe something like extra Ghostbusters Plasma series hands for things like the pointing fingers for the commercial and a clear overlay on a stand with the phone number on it, alternate facial expressions, Egon hand with Twinkie holding sculpt.

Retro rereleases of scrapped/limited items. G2 General Optimus on Vintage card, MW ATB Megatron. Ninja Commando Flint. Various MLs that didn't make the cut.

 

Hopefully today is our lucky day.

Realized that I had ordered Overbite and Tentakil with an outdated card, so updated my info and got charged for them and Nautilator, I also scored Snaptrap last week when he went back in stock. I suddenly feel a lot better about the Seacons now as I have only two to track down.

I am confused as to those waiting for “the last two” to go up though. I thought all of them were up? Is a restock coming?

 

So when pre orders are done they usually restock some inventory which they did restock the first two waves. So maybe they’ll restock it at some point... hopefully.

 

That's what Premium should be. Sign up for an annual service that offers free shipping, and as a thank you each year there's an exclusive figure.

Of course, Pulse serves multiple brands...but if they did it as a "Sign up by brand!" thing where you choose your flavor at sign up that would help make sure they knew how much stock of each to make.

So you could choose PR, TF, GIJoe, etc....

 

I think if you spend over $100/year, you should automatically be added to the Premium Service. Making people pay $50 is going to be prohibitive to some fans...but putting it at a sales threshold will encourage upselling.
