It's listing his history as having been second-in-command, and it IS official. It was released before TLK, but I guess Geewunners wouldn't know anything about what's official.

When has he ever BEEN a second-in-command though? The only time I remember rank being mentioned is the first movie, where it's clear the second-in-command is JAZZ.

    I don't think I count as a Geewunner anyways...

I try to take anything Hasbro and Paramount says as official no matter how stupid or contradictory.

Some of the more flippant movie fans have an "us versus them" mindset and eagerly pull the "Geewunner" card whenever the Bayverse recieves criticism, even from other movie fans, likely because they want to devalue them in their eyes so they can dismiss any negativity towards the movies as trolling.

I have found out how tall Bumblebee is realistically in the Bumblebee Movie:

I measured the Studio Series toy of him in VW Bug mode. Bumblebee realistically in his movie would be over 13’ tall according to the scale.

For example I did it by adding the length+width+height of vehicle mode then divide the robot mode height.

Size of Studio Series VW Bug Bumblebee.
    Robot Height - 4.375” = 160.6” (13’ 4.6”)
    Vehicle Length - 4.375” = 160.6” (13’ 4.6”)
    Vehicle Width - 1.75” = 64.24” (5’ 4.24”)
    Vehicle Height - 1.6875” = 61.95” (5’ 1.95”)

For example if you want to find out how realistically a vehicle would transform: (4.375+1.75+1.6875)/4.375
    7.8125/4.375
    1.7857 is the transformation ratio.

Technically Bumblebee is a 1/36.71 scale figure if you are wondering.

Based on the scale of the figure, Bumblebee is 13’ 4.6” tall in the Bumblebee movie.

He was leader of Hound, Crosshairs, and Drift's group in Optimus's absence, both in AoE and TLK. It make sense that he would be pushed to 2nd in command during Optimus's absence.

So he's second in command... when he's the commander?

Measuring the figures is not a good indicator of height. There is a major difference in translation between screen and figure, especially when it comes to the live action films.

"Sensei, with your fate unknown, Bumblebee has held command despite his complete and total lack of anything resembling warrior discipline."
-Drift, Age of Extinction, night scene where the Autobots meet for the first time in the film.

Exactly. To me, second-in-command means you assist your leader to carry out the job. Riker and Picard. President and VP. Bumblebee never does that. Taking over when Prime is gone just makes him a temporary leader.

Ok then, if you don't buy it, who's second in command?

Hopefully the Knightverse will keep their sizes consistent to their respective vehicle modes. Should give us a variety, like a David-Goliath-style dynamic.
