what Ironhide is that ? is it crazy hard to transform ?

 

Igear Weapons Specialist....not hard to transform. About a 6 out of 10 I'd say, with 10 being very difficult

Back on topic I bought two of these for my kids as they were better in scale with their Collections and they and I , love this figure . I really Wish they would have done a Twincast blue version

 

just ordered this guy from bbts, couldnt pass up the price and i think itll go well with my collection, i just wish that he had tape minions (the same complaint i have about music label soundwave)

 

he is great you'll love him. Not sure if you know but his rifle folds up and becomes a cassette. I really wish Unique Toys would make a soundwave to go with blaster. if you want good cassettebots try KFC. THey have a really good steeljaw and ramhorn.. Ramhorn was also retooled into a cow

 

good to know, for soundwave i have the music label one and this seems to be a good pairing for it based on pics. the scale in my collection is a bit weird with megatron and optimus being between deluxe and voyager so this should be perfect

 

I wish they would have done a twincast version of this guy as well. But yeah wish the tapes would have been done.

This IS my blaster in my collection though the g1 and titan version ones are just too big for my collection

 

out of curiosity, how big is his gun tape compared to the titans return cassettes?

 

Oh, it's tiny.

It's the size of a normal TF weapon when opened and expanded. The handle is 5mm, the gun is about 6-7mm wide and about 1.5 inches long. It's small enough that Legends Class "cassette" bots in TR could wield it.

 

darn, was hoping there might be cassette minions out there that might fit well enough haha. wonder if the nonnef/fakebusker rewind would fit

Good question, but just eyeballing from Peaugh's review I'd guess not.

 

After all the goings on with Siege and a seemingly miraculous final restock at BBTS, I finally got my hands on this guy, and boy is he an improvement over the TR Blaster that's been on my shelf for a few years now. Weirdly though, I can't seem to get his gray panels to lock in together in boombox mode. I can get one in, but then the other won't lock in, no matter which side I do first. Wonder what's up with that.

 

i believe two of the grey panels are installed upside down from the factory, could be part of the reason

 

Works pretty good with Siege Soundwave, too.

 

Huh, so they are. Oh well, that doesn't bother me too much. After I shaved the sides of the innermost panels that come into contact with each other, now they fit just fine.

Yeah that was one of my primary reasons for trying to get him... but I'm probably going to hold out on Soundwave to see if they release one that isn't covered in that battle damage paint garbage.

 

Could use a height mod.

Funny, that's what I just came to check. I have TR Ramhorn and PE Eject / Rewind, just donot feel the same...

 

yea, it really is a missed opportunity as its a perfect figure for blaster
