Happy Birthday TFW2005 - We Turn 20 Years Old Today!

    I know I'm sorta late to the party, but I really gotta give it up for TFW.

    Transformers was always a thing I liked as a kid, having grown up with the very tail-end of G1 and all of G2. I would kind of come in and out of the hobby through my life until the late 90s when my dad got the internet and I found people talking about it online. Somehow that would lead me to finding TFW around the time Car Robots came out - it was Super Bowl Sunday and I was killing time at home before my parents would drive us to grandpa's to eat dinner and watch the game. Somehow, through some random forum post somewhere else or some errant HotBot/Lycos search, I found TFW's coverage of the Car Robots toyline and cartoon, and I felt excited about Transformers again in a way that I hadn't since before the Beast Era.

    So for as much as I thank Car Robots for bringing me back, TFW was equally as important to both bring me back and keep me around. Happy birthday, old friend!

    I'll toast to that! Happy birthday to this website and all of it's silly arguements. I've been here for under two years, but it seems like yesterday when I stumbled on this site. It's nice being able to share my interests with fellow fans, considering how few I know RL. Thank you and happy birthday TFW2005!

    The figure that got me back into serious collecting and it was thanks to the Car Robot videos I used to download here at TFW2OO5. My very first online purchase: Car Robot Gigatron! Still looking great (just some lines in the chrome) after so many years.

    That figure has aged tremendously. All the articulation you could ask for, looks incredible, feels incredible, and at least three of its modes are really good. :lol 

    It's amazing to think a product like that would be sold as a high-priced collector's item today when it could be found on retail toy shelves back then.
