Hows the paint chipping? Is yours second batch?

 

I believe mine is from the second batch. After transforming from dragon mode and back I haven't noticed any paint chipping.

 

Nice. Roughly how many steps is it to transform him?

I remember awhile back there was a video on weibo showing a Jiangxing staff member scratching a part very roughly and the paint still didnt chip. Makes me wonder how so many people are scratching theirs.

 

Different parts, basically. The parts that are getting chipped are mostly parts that rub up against each other or have to be put in right next to each other in the different modes. It pretty much looks like JX didn't take the extra paint thickness into account when they designed it, and it was already pretty tight/fine on the clearances as it was - in short, you have two different parts trying to occupy the same space at the same time. Ironically the same thing of not factoring in the extra mass from the paint happened on the new paint for the wings on the V2, hence why they're super-tight on the V2 but usually fine on the V1.

It's quite involved transformation-wise, but then so was the original toy (by the standards at the time) and the cartoon model basically just swapped models with some sleight-of-hand visual trickery.

About 70 cm if I remember correctly.

JXF hasn't posed since January. Wonder if they've got any updates for what they're working on.

 

I was just thinking about tygaeagle yesterday. Im hoping they release prototype images soon. I’m dying to see what he looks like

Dude, I instantly worried they we’re getting shut down or something the way that post started.
Losing JX would be a massive blow to the future of my Beast Wars collection. Sure there’s bigger things to worry about but I’d still feel the loss.

Luckily it sounds like they’re ploughing on and we’ll at least see the cg design in 2020. Progress on most things has dramatically slowed or stopped altogether so it’s probably gonna be a real long wait for Tiger Eagle. Even if it released Tomorrow show z would still hold off on the shipping until things resume to a semblance of normality.

 

@JXF Sooo...how's Cryotek coming?
