It seems to have the quick acceleration of a ratchet though, like its popping into the next position but I could just be grabbing at straws

I think it's because the joint was tight. If you check the previous page, there was one picture where Toyworld confirmed there was no rachet in this figure.

    *Edit: here it is:

it's only showing you how to open the window without letting the arm get in the way. It's more likely to be a piece snapping out of place instead of a ratchet.

Fantastic, I think the alt-mode looks better than I remembered from the earlier released photos, I don't mind it looking a little rickety rackety either with slightly wonky panels, it looks hefty, war-bothered and dented. I can see the cybertron mode charging into battle on polished metal streets! I've always been a sucker for nice long legs (MP-36 and Unique Toys Challenger) too. Can't wait to get this guy, but looking forward to everyone's pics in the meantime whilst I wait for the mid-May De Luxe.

What's the word on this figure? I cancelled my pre-order when the virus started to make things crazy but am reconsidering ordering again. Haven't seen any reviews on youtube yet.

Well they just started shipping the regular figure from factories to suppliers, a few CN people have revived advanced copies, and have a few social media videos of the transformation. None of the major us/uk reviewers have received a copy for review yet that im aware of.

IMHO it looks like a high end solid figure. Its a bit taller than i wanted, but i can deal with that. Honestly, if you didnt lock in a low price pre order its gone up about 40 bucks so far, and my deluxe preorder is cheaper than most peoples standard at the moment, so unless you HAVE to have it asap i would hold off until shipping returns to normal this summer. Even if you did lock in a preorder they arent shipping >2kg packages (this) unless you pay an extra fee at the moment.

definitely would not be looking to take care of it right away although i regret not keeping my low pre-order price. i'm not looking to get a hold of anything that's not already stateside for a few months at least. i've seen the transform videos that are up already and it looked pretty good in that, but as you can guess i'd love to see comparisons to other figures and some notes on things like joints, etc.

Did anyone else pick up the standard edition from show.z? Has theirs shipped yet?

I've literally just paid my Express Shipping for this so I'd assume it will be shipped soon. I'll let you know when/if it is

I know. I'm going to have to clean the truck when I get it. It's too much and it makes no sense.

I think it adds to the war-damaged aesthetic though but I get why some might not dig it.
Just curious, how would you remove the weathering?

Probably just paint right over it. If there is any height to the weathering, I guess I'll use alcohol to remove it first. It shouldn't be that hard. I'm only talking about the truck mode. It looks great on the robot mode.

It's very confusing. It would have been less effort on Toyworld's part to make the toy more accurate. They went the extra mile to screw up the truck. *shrug*

Yeah you're right, I've never liked weathering in alt modes, it feels so out of place

This was posted earlier, one was the original prototype head while the other seems to be the remolded head. If I had to guess, they probably had already made so many copies of the original head so that they just decided to ship the figure with it even after making a new one for it
