What's all this talk about running being more accurate when his mouth is closed? Have you looked at those pics recently? Regardless he still looks like a cat that doesn't know what to do after throwing up on himself.

REGARDLESS, I have his SS one and while I loved the look of tungmung (how aggressive he looked.) I just want my boy to come home. I LOVE ss soundwave but he's too tiny for my shelf.

TungMung's had cat-face. NewAge's has fish lips. Pick your poison (or wish we still could).

I've heard that for almost every 3p product and 90% don't get anything. maybe a few customs, but nothing that can be bought by others. I mean look at open and play big spring. That guy had a pretty bad face and everyone just assumed an upgrade set or 3d printed one would happen, yet years later and not even the few board members who said they would make one, had made one. We always say "I'm sure someone will fix it later" when we could have just made enough noise to have them actually change it.

I understand tungmung wasn't proportionally accurate, but their sculpt work and overall aesthetic worked very well. You could tell that they simply went with the more standard robot proportions and made the details work with it. Newage is yet another company that doesn't seem to get movie designs yet, and it shows. the sculpt/details are lacking, and they have massive exposed areas that should have way more material there. The legs being a prime example. From the knee down there's barely any detail other than car parts. Wheres the robotic detailing and pistons? All that's there is flat pieces of engineering and hinges. It looks like the figure is fighting itself over what it's supposed to be. I really wish they had done a better job given they nailed the proportions, but they just aren't quite there to be considered an MPM figure.

You guys probably need to watch DOTM again, of course Soundwave closes his mouth:

The only reason why everyone's going for the open mouth look is because a couple of popular screencaps and all of the fan renders out there have it.

That’s going to kill all interest in this figure if that’s the price lol

Pretty bold pricing, given that there'll be a $30ish upscale of the SS one soon

Damn. I'm out. For that price I don't need a figure of this character.

That price is intense. TCP has it listed at $135 for the version with Laserbeak and $145 for the version with Laserbeak and Ravage.

Definitely going to wait and see how the price settles out, maybe these are high early estimates? But, considering the premium pricing of NewAge Legends scale figures (and the similar sticker shock reaction of many who collect those) I have a feeling it's not going to end up much less.

I don't think I care enough for this iteration of Soundwave to pay that much though. I have the Studio Series Deluxe and I kind of feel like it's more than adequate to scratch that itch.
