You don't count him as worth your time but can't give a reason why? I'm genuinely curious because people who reviewed him said he was great but I did see a few people mention tiny paint chipping.

I directed you to the Ancestrod thread because I personally get annoyed when people take threads off topic and it would be hypocritical to go on about issues with Ancestrod in this one. If you're interested in it and your research doesn't find anything you take issue with then buy it.

It was just a question since you brought it up in this thread. I have no interest in it and was curious.

    I understand.

    ----------------------------------

Has anyone experiences any looseness in this piece over however long? I got it on release and it's been sitting in a box for I don't know how long but when I pulled it out the other day to display I noticed both feet now just flop down in the front toe area. 0 play and as stayed just state in a box. It's always weird to me when toys do that.

Mine do that which is the weird spot. It's the only place that I can think of that is loose(oddly, they don't flop down in gorilla mode, just when in robot and folded out).

I've had mine on display for about a year, taking it out and transforming it every now and then. As of now, the only things that are loose are one of his diecast bot mode toes, and his ab crunch, slightly. Oddly, his toe is only loose about halfway through the joint.

Keeping toys in their packaging is ultimately more damaging to them as the fumes that all plastics exude can't evaporate and just keep saturating the plastic. Mind you, ALL plastics will rot over time. The malleability of the molecules is exactly why plastics are so useful, but it's also their death knell for long-term use. But keeping them enclosed can hasten it for certain types of plastic. This may be what you're experiencing. Similar reasons are why mylar bags exist for comics; but sadly there are no mylar packages for toys.

It wasn't in an enclosed anything, man.

@Chibipoe and @Junkmech Thank you. Seems to be something about how the toes weigh on that pin or something.

...could explain why my monster pretenders are right as rain: opened and handled gently for thirty years now, no problems with any of the plastics yet...could also explain why my beast wars II figures disintegrated after twenty years storage in their original packaging, too...

Anyone have a beat on him at a web store or if you have a BST?

Waited a bit too long him and the only Ebay seller has 200 something feedback, so really hesitant on that front.

    ... Yes.

Honestly the only figures I've ever had yellow are two diecast Gundam figures I put back into the original boxes to move and then took months to get around to unboxing after. I didn't realize just how detrimental that can be until I read about how, styrofoam, e.t.c. works.

Not to derail the conversation but I've had a couple of boxed figures fall apart from GPS inside the box. I wonder if there are specific plasticizers or dyes that contribute to a faster degradation of the plastic.

Back on topic, my Primal's held up pretty well these last couple of years. He stays in a wooden bookshelf with glass pull-down covers. Not air-tight but not exposed to dust or as much open air. He seems pretty sturdy still, I love the figure.
