Which is an extremely short wait time compared to those of us still waiting for their Berserker (yeah, I'm never going to let that go). Some day, my beautiful Blitzwing. Some day you'll finally basque is the glory of finally getting released... :(

I haven’t gotten my Sheridan yet but the issues are so widespread that I fully expect to be affected. Given the ubiquity of Sheridan’s bum knee I do worry about the potential for a similar problem with Thomas. Hopefully his presumably greater complexity will encourage FT to take more care in his production.

You will just never know what issue to expect. Just gota hope. This is generally why I never sell what I have before evaluating what is intended to replace it in hand for a good few days at least.

Yeah, like I mentioned earlier, I put my preorder in for Thomas because I really do want it, and I really do want it to be good, but usually I wait for reviews before buying FT's stuff. Some of their stuff has been so insanely good IMHO, but some of their stuff has been like they're just coasting on their rep. I'd committed to waiting for reviews of Sheridan, and I stayed on the fence too long. At first I was a little disappointed that I missed the boat, but I'm starting to feel like I actually dodged a bullet, and I'll probably look to pick up Wardog instead. Maybe even that little Final Victory dude.

Well I got my preorder in before stocks ran out. Thanks for the late e-mail BBTS. Good thing I was on a lunch break to see said e-mail. Hello Fans Toys, can I get my preorder for Blitzwing now. It's been a while. Strange that a figure that was announced, what seemed like ages ago, is getting released after a figure that was announced in 2019.

I feel your pain. This extended wait made me purchase that horrible Blitzwing from KFC even though I was fully aware of the stability issues. Damn you Fans Toys. Damn you to Hell

The Final Victory is just too small IMHO. I have the Wardog and I like it. It's famous for its frustrating transformation but I can live with it. I like the bulky robot mode and the tank mode is the size I prefer over Sheridan. I just got Sheridan to go with my toon MP's (Wardog lives with the detailed ones), and my copy seems fine so far. I like Fans Toys but I'm not a fanboy of them. Several of their recent releases have been disappointing to me, but they've come out with several that have been really good too. I regret skipping on their Blurr. At the same time, the transformation is still a deal-breaker for me. But this Thomas just gives me good vibes. I haven't felt that way for a FT release since their Dracula.

It took a while but I sold my copy of Ditka. It looks great! I could never get mine to stand up straight, even with the high-heel trick. I was also aware of the issues and I did install the new parts for mine. He still fell backwards. Someone wanted one for parts and experimentation and off he went. A shame, really. KFC was kind of on to something great. Too much die cast in the wrong places--on top! I should've gone with the DX9 Gwealt. I went with Ditka because he had the look I was looking for.

I hope that FT has fully mastered their design for Thomas as this is their first triple changer, and that it'll be one of their best releases ever. I also hope that they take what they learned from creating Thomas and applying it to Berserker. I love Astrotrain a lot! Sadly he was mostly a taxi for the Decepticons. Blitzwing, however, stood up to Galvatron and he liked football (American). :D

Man that's so cool, wish I was called Astrotrain!

    4. Some people (I wish I could but cant afford it!) Like to buy a copy for every mode... although this logic didn't seem to apply for six-shot / hydra I suppose.

What the hell Fanstoys!? $220!? Ou, you gonna be kidding me? This price is outrageous! Ok, so we have seen this kind of business style before...Takara did it and now Fanstoys is trying to do it. First they gather bunch of collectors, who will be interest to buy the products what they are produce. And then they start to raise the price tags. At the same time they downside the quality of the products one step at the time. So old fashioned style. Come on Fanstoys...try to work out something new style to do business! Like i said, Takara did it and at the same time ”shot themselves in the leg”. Collectors should vote with their wallets. That is a way to resist price increases. At least i seriously consider not buying this figure. This is not funny anymore!

I would like to know how much of the high price is due to shipping. (I suspect it is not insignificant.)

If a reissue happens two years later, it may very well be cheaper.

Honestly $220 doesn’t seem too bad when you consider parts count, I mean he’s got 3 modes, is almost all painted, has lots of die cast (presumably), and probably has some of the classic fanstoys complex engineering.

The pictures look amazing but they have yet to show the back kibble. In particular I want to know if he has the shuttle tail fin on his back.

the price states $0. Once they have the full price, would it automatically charge my bank?

I'm casting my outlier vote for a G1 toy deco release.

The deposit is $1.98 and is the only option you can choose currently. There's no fixed final price on there right now

According to a message dalianjj sent to someone the recommended retail price is not $220 but actually $125/$130. So that price is with massively inflated shipping attached.

There was a conversation that retailers lost money on Sheridan due to shipping, am I misremembering that? So this could be an attempt to recoup past losses.
