Hello All, LONG TIME STAN, very few posts... Anyways I let my kiddos play with all my toys I've collected over the years. Long story short, I now have TF's and Predators, and Gi Joe's with missing arms, legs, broken this, broken that.. Any tips on repair or sites or guides? Is there a one solution for all glue or something I can buy to do so? i.e. I have an ALIEN Queen and a drone with a missing arm, or leg, would be nice to at least put the arm or leg back even if I lose all pose-ability. please do tell! oNe p.s. Wifey aka mom, bless her heart, tried to repair a bunch of them with a plain ol' hot glue gun, that lasted all of like 5 secs, bwa haha!
sand each attachment pont , wash them with soap and water and then they are dry use loctite super glue gel control so you can place the glue where it needs to be without it making a mess. after that give them an hour to dry and be careful with them
worked like a charm, fixed about 90% of the toys in the FORBIDDEN SACRED BOX... Neca Gojira and Spider-Man(high quality 12" figure, not sure which one) lasted all of 5 sec's and will need a re-do but everything else is back up and running.. aka being played with vigorously by the boys now. Thanks
Try Devcon Plastic Welder. Clean the joint, sand and apply. It's a two part adhesive, like epoxy only not nearly as brittle and with better shear strength than epoxy or super glue. Make sure to let cure overnight before using.
Team, I have a tower 1 room heater, essentially this one here, LINK The base is cracked, and it won't stand up longer than a minute, what would you guys counsel as a repair method? WOuld this Devcon Plastic Welder stuff work? Appreciate any and all advise.. oNe
How large is the crack? Is a whole section broken off or is it still one piece? Either way, I would recommend getting another piece of plastic (like from a DVD case or other form of plastic sheeting), and glue that along the crack to better reinforce it. You could also use metal sheeting and cut to fit along the crack and insert pop rivets. I'm guessing since it's just a heater that it doesn't matter so much how it looks?
If you still have the piece, I would say Plastic Welder would work as long as you glue it back securely. Clean up any broken bits of plastic or bent pieces and glue to reinforce (don't worry about looks). Do you have a pic?
