Is anyone else getting sick of these online polls about which "house" you would choose to quarantine with?

 

McFarlane Toys is finally releasing an articulated Spawn figure with sword accessory.

Now informed it comes with a mace accessory instead of the sword.

This is what you call 'a dick move'

 

So, the family was supposed to get a new fridge installed last week. We have the fridge...except for one pesky problem.

The movers aren't allowed touching the water line.

For THAT, we need a plumber and it's all dissolved into this stupid clusterfuck of scheduling because obviously the ideal thing to do would to have both the plumber and movers show up so the line can get disconnected, the new fridge put in while the old one is hauled off, and the line reconnected. No idea where that stands which is extremely inconvenient as the old fridge is well and truly dead. Fortunately, not everything was lost, as we still have the new fridge in the garage right next to the impromptu emergency cooling array of coolers and the mini-fridge borrowed from the neighbors, so we just shoved everything into the new fridge. It's obviously super inconvenient as the garage is located on the opposite side of the house from the kitchen (which I know is NOT how houses are supposed to be designed but that's a whole different issue with my residence), but at the very least we aren't losing all our cold storage. The only downside is we had to dig out the old ice tray because obviously the new fridge doesn't have the water line set up, so that is a rather elaborate operation just for some ice.

 

I'll take the nippy weather if you don't want it! It's already starting to feel like summer here and I'm not ready for Vegas heat....

I actually agree with both of these. It's a current event that most certainly warrants discussion, but people just couldn't keep political opinions out of it, which was extremely difficult to do considering politicians are in charge of our well-being.

I created the thread, but found it depressing at times and even stopped posting in it. In addition, we're all being beaten over the head with it on the news, radio and social media, so it ended up turning into a dark cloud over the boards, and just like the virus, it spread and infiltrated MANY other threads. I'm kind of glad it's gone as well. I just wish we could get rid of the real McCoy as easily.

 

Also getting sick of these "you have $15 to assemble your team" posts. Are we that bored???

 

There's two versions. Ones got a sword and the other has a mace. My understanding is that the preorders for the sword version sold out, but they opened preorders back up for the figure with a disclaimer that they didn't habe a clear conformation on getting more from McFarlane. When they finally did it looks like Todd decided to switch up the accessory on the second run of figures. Can't really blame BBTS for that.

 

Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant Todd McFarlane made the dick move by making the running change. I just read up on the Mcfarlane toy thread, I guess that's just how he operates.

Nothing against BBTS.

Ah, okay. Yeah, not the biggest fan of the way he does stuff like that either. Now the sword version is sold out and will probably go for a lot more... unless he switches up the running change again from a mace to something else.

 

He makes puzzling decisions. When he helped start Image back in the day and started his Spawn toys a few years later, it seemed like he wanted to give comic and toy fans alike, what they wanted. Then for the past 20 years, as other companies embraced full articulation, he went for action statues. Then he finally brings Spawn back fully articulated but at 7" scale instead of the 6.5" scale most other domestic collector lines have embraced since the early 2000's and he's bent on weird thigh swivel and ankle joints(instead of rocker ankles).

Would've been much happier if he went with Marvel Legends articulation and scale but sculpted with all the detail his company was known for.

 

I feel as if my brain is starting to atrophy and unfortunately I’m not motivated to do anything ATM other than stare blankly into space. I think it’s time for another walk….

 

Why are my more expensive energizers dying faster then the cheap, shitty rayovac batteries? I just put those in yesterday.

Yeah. I've gone through several pairs.

 

I recommend you switch to rechargeables

 

Hmm. Usually a battery discharges if the battery ends touch other but if they were straight out of the box, then it's most likely a manufacturing problem. File a complaint and stick to Rayovac. Or go with the suggestion from @Scarlet knight .
