Yea the Minicons are much more solid, in stark contrast to current Micromasters. Build quality was really good for Minicons

 

I came across a Cybertron leader Optimus today. Just the main body only though. No matrix, but he does have both ears. Not bad for only $10. Now I just gotta find me the trailer bits and leg pieces.

 

I found a complete Megatron and a complete Prime for 125 each. These prices are irresponsible. I love this series to death but no way would I pay over 100 for anything from the line, sans maybe Primus or Giant Screamer.

 

I think the Mega Wing Convoy giftset maybe but I don't think anything else from that line is worth that money.

 

The Cybertron Wing Saber and Prime two-pack was, like.. 250-275. It's absurd

 

2005. 15 years old. It's close to be "vintage".

 

I did mean per figure in the set, which I realize wasn't very obvious the first time I typed that.

will there ever be a new mold/figure for energon megatron? i have tried to come up with a base for a custom one to no avail

 

Well according to tfwiki, TR sky shadow was gonna be done as energon megs. I’m not much of customizer, mainly minor things and slight painting, but it’s what I used for my own custom. When I say slight painting, I mean I didn’t change the color scheme at all but changed 1-2 details and gave him a new faceplate. I’d love to have done more but don’t have the time or space to do more.

 

As part of botcon, so not 100% sure we would had it but if it did happen here's what we could have got :









Also, the recent Legends manga come up with an interesting repaint of TR sentinel, still unknow if it's a hint of something coming or not :

Those are pretty cool. I actually think hot shot looks great.

 

I would be cool but probably not. The Legends manga does this a lot with existing molds into new characters. Just like when they did The 3 Autobot target masters as titans return molds.

 

Earthrise almost killed my enthusiasm for new TFs, so I ended up looking back.
Armada is now as old as G1 was when I was a child.
I ended up getting a MISB version of one the few TFs I truly regretted selling, my favourite repaint ever, with the first minicons to cross my door in over a decade: Energon Ultra Magnus.

It's amazing how much work and materials went into the old packaging.

The Armada Overload mold is a Headmaster which is also a Targetmaster... and a trailer for OP... and a shuttle transport for Jetfire... and an artillery platform for Super Base OP's base mode... and an accessory for OP Super Mode. An amazing toy all around.

 

With all of the Armada OP combining trio having si many repaints, I'd love to see a lineup of a bunch of them.in their full combined mode (final battle/powerlinx and that gold repaint for prime, Powerlinx and Astrotrain for Jetfire, Sentinel Maximus, Ultra Magnus, Optimal Optimus for Overload
