Which makes it kinda unfortunate because they already had Herald and Savant to improve on. I don't own those 2 so I don't know if they have better fittings/tighter abs and what not.

 

See the thing is, they were already pretty good. And this sounds worse than those.

 

I'd love to see more pictures. I'd decided this guy was a pass (I have Crosscut and I like him but don't love him), but moyabe your paint work elevates him enough for me to change my mind.

That neck looks strange to me. Too long with that narrow chin. I think their Crosscut is the best version of this mold.

 

I was told they didn't receive any whatsoever from XTB. Guess it doesn't matter since end result was the same, said they were contacting XTB about it. Did anyone that bought this from TF Source actually get the extra figures?

Either way it has been three weeks and they've offered no actual solution yet  

 

In the same boat man, I'm actually really surprised at how they appear to be handling this. I could have returned my fig and bought one with figurines from showz in the time they have been taking to sort this. i'm genuinely confused how something like this could happen. Its not like TFSource has never dealt with XTB before. The last email Rob sent me said they were still waiting to hear back from XTB. So either Rob is lying and they heard back and don't know what to do or XTB screwed up and isn't getting back to them. Either way we as the customer should be getting some sort of communication as to how this is going to be corrected since we clearly paid for something we didn't get. Might just be time to file a claim through paypal.

 

I received an email today from TFSource, they got their replacement figurines and are sending them out.

 

yup, got the same email. Not sure why they couldn't have given some kind of update sooner, but happy to hear i'll have my Bokuto Officers shortly.

 

The reply I originally received said they had to contact XTB for them and then get up with me when they got em.
They got em, they emailed me.

 

Anyone have a transformation review?... I'm having trouble with the head clearance.

 

Ben, Bobby, and Emgo all have reviews for Savant, with EMGO having a "Just transform it" video. Those are the only videos for any of the 3 mold mates. Unless you wanna use the stopmotion Herald video TCP has on their youtube.

 

I know you don't know me, but if what I was asking was that simple, I wouldn't have asked.  

I have Savant. Savant's head is much smaller than Taiho's and folds away with no problem.

To be clear, I do not technically have Taiho. I have managed to procure a Taiho head directly from XTB. My intent was to repaint the Taiho head and to transplant the head to Savant for a "toy inspired" version. Savant's stock head just plain sucks. Anyway, Taiho's head fits on Savant's neck but XTB must have redesigned the interior because not only does the Taiho head not clear the dash board, but it doesn't fit in the alt mode at all. I was hoping that someone had done a detailed comparison so I could confirm before I make more permanent modifications. As it stands, I have to remove the head to transform it.

If anyone has both and can post comparison shots of the rear bot mode and how the head folds away, I would greatly appreciate it.

 

How you expect anyone to infer all of that from "has anyone done a review, I'm having trouble with head clearance" is beyond me!

I'm sure someone can do a shot of the two for you but when asking for help, it helps to be precise in what you're looking for!

 

Received the figures yesterday. Took awhile but they came through. Good stuff from TF Source lately on both this and a double left fisted Grejeeber from the IF Baldigus set a couple months back that they also handled. Hope everyone else receives theirs soon!

 

Help, did this come with any kind of replacement head for Savant?

 

I don't think so. I remember being somewhat disappointed as I looked through the packaging.
