    But are they cooler than Tigatron, Ultra Mammoth, Wolfang, Cryotek, Orcanoch (was it supposed to be sentient?), and Sea Clamp?:D

    Character-wise, I would say Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod (seasons three and four of G1), Starscream (G1), Nautica (IDW MTMTE), Minerva (Masterforce), Bludgeon (Marvel G1), Nightbeat (Marvel G1 and IDW MTMTE), Shockwave (Marvel G1), Megatron (Beast Machines and 2001 RiD), Galvatron (G1 seasons three and four and 2001 RiD), Knock Out (TFP), Thunderhoof (2015 RiD), Tankor (Beast Machines), Piranacon/The Seacons (G1), Jetstorm (Beast Machines) and Optimus Primal (Beast Machines).

    Designwise, Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod, Bludgeon, Nautica, Victorion, Piranacon, BM, Rattrap, BM Tankor and BM Megatron.

    I use to mainly like Decepticons until I saw Kup in the 87 movie. I don't know why but the old grizzled mentor character resonates with me.

    Design wise the 1986 cast beautiful humanistic designs. They were colorful and round, not so blocky. Hotrod’ s design is my favorite.

    G1 Starscream. Created Bruticus, threw his boss out of Astrotrain, briefly became king of the Decepticons, got killed then came back to screw over Unicron.

    I'm a huge fan of Sixshot, with Deadlock/Drift in second. Overlord is definitely third, and down the line is the rest of the MTMTE characters.
