PM me the store or the zip code to do a search mate. Thanks! I do not mind a short ride to another walmart to do my shopping in hopes of finding one.

Has anybody seen evidence of the quadlingual box yet, besides the stock photo on walmart.com?

I have hunted for it ever since I learned of that picture. In my research - it has been determined to be a myth from the Hasbro site as they are all just Bi-linqual in all the ebay sites I've asked sellers on around the world. If anyone else has found that to be different I would also like to know so I can find one :D

Saw these on clearance again already for $30. I thought they were going to stick around long enough to hold a place for Blaster, but I guess in the current climate that's not going to be soon enough anymore for Wal-Mart.

I've seen the quadlingual G1 Starscream reissue in the wild, so I guess I'm still hopeful, but not holding my breath at this point. I think that box does look cool though. :)

That appears to be the non-American version. We had the non-American version for the G1 Minibot reissue (BB, Swerve, Outback & Tailgate) in Australia through a clothing outlet called Cotton On. Haven't seen the Soundwave in question.

This post is only for the nerdiest of packaging variant collectors because it's mostly about the Walmart shipping boxes. On the left is an early case from last July and on the right is a more recent case. I compared two Soundwave boxes and the only difference I could find (besides the manufacture date stamp) was the code C-1602A underneath the Hasbro Canada address. They apparently had it wrong on the early version and covered it with a sticker. The correct code is printed on the newer box. I peeled the sticker off my opened Soundwave box to see the wrong code (C-1602GF). Pics attached. Enjoy!

It turns out that the quad-lingual Soundwave box featured on the Wal-Mart website DOES exist! It just took me forever to track one down. Please let me know if anyone is aware of where I could find another - I'd like one to open and one to keep MIB. Thanks!

Edit - coincidentally, I just noticed that I had first posted about this above exactly one year ago today!

I never got a chance to get these, or any of the walmart reissues. Do they plan on doing any more figures at all? I think blaster was the last one.

It seems the Headmaster "Retros" took the place of any Vintage G1s recently. A disturbing trend by Hasbro to put new molds in Retro packaging and somehow pass them off as vintage product. Same. Thing happening with latest GI Joes.

As theguru1974 said, the Retro Headmasters seem to be filling that spot currently, and next up (later this year) are the Beast Wars reissues. Not sure when/if Walmart will do more G1 reissues.

I don't think it's "disturbing" at all (it's not at all hard to tell a truly vintage toy from the retro), and this has been going on in other lines for many years now.

    Hear, hear.

The packaging is nearly as satisfying to collect and display as the figures themselves.
