You can filter them out by selecting the retailer on the side, but they're still fucking annoying. Especially TFSource's way overpriced and inflated stuff at Target.
Target's website is just awful in general. The search may as well break down the word "Marvel" and return anything with one of those six letters anywhere in the title, description, UPC, country of origin, or warehouse address. Don't even get me started how the "sold by" filter doesn't appear or doesn't work. Then there's how it shows everything as "in stock" to Google but when you follow the link it's only available for pickup at one store in Czechoslovakia.
I searched for Transformers and got toilet paper (that was sold out). And worse I can't replicate it so I don't even know why that occurred.
Eh...to be fair, amazon also has some third party wacko results, but the filters seem to work better than putting a bling search bar on ebay and typing "the." I even joined their silly red dot or circle-jerk-friends or whatever their rewards program is called, thinking that maybe I'd have better luck if I just found the stuff in-store. And I did, I found two Cyberverse figures that had been on the shelves for a month back in Feb. But as soon as I tried go buy it during a weekly sale, "Ding!" the register had an epileptic seizure saying I coudn't buy either one because they were street-dated...for June. I told them they have the same figures as part of a case assortment in June, which is why the UPC is the same, but thess had beennout for weeks. No, sorry, can't help you, come again in June. Screw that. Been very disappointed in ****-get's policies lately. I'm not an impatient man, but as a guy who spot-checks engineering drawings and troubleshoots "failed" equipment all day, I have grown quite intolerant of things that are poorly designed.
And people think Hasbro can police street dates? LOL. Half of the reason they even have street dates is their inability to control their supply chain.
Balljoints for hips, shoulders, heads and ankle tilts. Basic rotating turn-up-and-down/side-to-side joints for everything else. I’m put off some of the ER deluxes because of how awkward they look with their legs crouched in the renders. Too unnatural. Neca and similar companies have bad products. This stupid obsession with rubberised plastic disgusts me, the whole figure needs to be dipped in hot water to even function as an action figure. Stop with the “increased detail!!!!” bullshit, they botch the paint regardless of how much work they put into the sculpt. I’d be into 6-inch figures if the majority were made from actual solid plastic. Nevermind lads I just checked my favourite siege figures and they have this cool joint system on the hips that functions as smoothly as a balljoint but isn’t one. My quarrel is INSTEAD with this stuff-
They apparently don’t look natural on robots. You know, like Nature intended. I know what he means, but it doesn’t bother me. My son was playing with my Generation Legends OP and seekers, when I realized that Hasbro eventually made a Legends-size Shockwave, but never a Soundwave. Why? Such an iconic character and we don’t have an official release? And, before you suggest 3rd parties, I’ve only seen articulated G1-styled, not modernized.
Well, it’s meant to look like the skirting seen on G1 characters. But because they don’t have the budget to make the skirt flaps move individually, like the small ones on Siege Astrotrain, they look like... that. That’s not how the skirts moved in G1, it’s not how they’d logically move. For that reason, most Siege figures did away with them in favour of just having one larger thigh instead. I know it’s picky, but this is the rant thread.
The initial comment was rather vague, so I just thought some clarity would be helpful. Totally get your meaning.
WHY IS NO ONE TRANSFORMING SS SCAVENGER’S ARMS CORRECTLY?? FLIP THE BICEP AROUND. WHY THE FUCK WOULD THEY HAVE GIVEN HIM THUMBS ON THE *OUTSIDE* OF HIS HANDS??? LOOK AT EVERY SINGLE PICTURE OF SCAVENGER’S CGI MODEL, THE SHOVELS FACE UP. CHRIST
I just stickered up my G1 Seeker reissues, and the stickers that go on the eye have to be the worst sticker location I have ever come across. Not only do they not stick, it just looks bad. So I gave up after the first one
It’s right over there, next to my giant bag of money that I just have lying around. I keep it next to my official Masterpiece Hoist and Runamuck.
The reason they ditched ball joints for the important bits is because they put the of weaponziers/ battle masters in mind. Whilst it is un-natural because of the skirt thing you mentioned, bear in mind that ball joints in the long run are often detrimental: it can become loose or too tight. G2 Hero Megatron's entire reliance on using friction in his alt mode causes him to be pretty floppy. I'd pick functionality over visuals any day. TakaraTomy Designer Interview - The Design Concepts of Transformers Siege
Good fucking lord! The damn mental gymnastics people will do to justify shitty business practices. Primaly regarding Takara's handling of the Seacons. So many stupid decisions made. Very hard to get a hold of. These people "You should've pre-ordered when you had the chance" "Pre-order from sites with no upfront payment" Fuck off. Not everyone's able to pre-order. Especially when sites are likely to put a hold on your account. Can't do that when there's no money in it! Oh, and that's another thing. Why in the fuck is Takara basing this shit on pre-orders anyway? You'd think Grand Maximus would've taught them that was a bad idea. Apparently not.
Apparently they sold so well in Hong Kong stores they couldn't keep up with the demand. +1 for an individual reissue (I'm saying this because I know there's a box set inbound). I've nailed down All the seacons except Wave 2. Super frustrating!
Lack of head articulation. I just got a 3P Prime chug figure with amazing head articulation. Tilting, looking almost straight up, a full range of motion. When comparing him to SS-38 BB Prime (which is probably my favorite SS figure to date) I realized they could do very similar posses, except SS-38 can't make lots super dynamic poses because he would just be looking at the floor. And then thinking about all the recent Siege and ER figures, most of them have very good articulation. But they can't look up! It's not like most heads now aren't on ball joints already. Just make sure the range of motion is good!
They did end up doing a second run of Star Convoys and with the popularity of the Seacons, so I can't imagine them not doing a second run (or third run or...). At least I hope they do. I will say though that when I missed an item (like the first round of Grotusques), I was never really a happy camper when someone told me that I should've done something sooner, got lucky, or that I should wait for a possible restock, so I hope my comment doesn't come across as disingenuous. I really hope more people can get them, I really do. I would recommend keeping an eye on the Pulse in stock thread as well as any news threads for your best bet of getting any restocks.
