This kind of comment makes no sense every time I hear it. Theoretically yeah, the fanbase is hypocrytical when it comes to whether or not they support theft. But if you use your noodle, you might realize, "oh wait, these people complaining about stolen toys might not be the same people who support knockoffs, and maybe it's a divisive subject with people on both sides."

Another pic, but the bottom. Just don't want the undercarriage to break the silhouette of the plane.

Yeah, forgot about the proportions, I do like his wider torso! And yes, you are right about the paint, this is only our first look at the figure. Let's hope the photos and videos of this figure will shed light on that aspect. Overall, I think it's a great figure.

There was a MPM Starscream but as you said, it was just a repacked leader with a new deco. They revived the MPM line in 2017 and restarted it so they made new masterpieces and made updated versions of Starscream and Bumblebee.

Starscream's voice here is dialogue ripped from the Devastation game. Presumably the VA, Scott Whyte, got paid again for its reuse here, but he hasn't voiced Screamer since Devastation came out in 2015. I don't like him as Screamer either; the WFC/FOC VA (Sam Riegel) would be my go-to Starscream if it were up to me.

The HFTD Leader's jet mode is still miles better and it's quite embarrassing that that's the case. Good robot mode but the under carriage in that jet mode is just pitiful.

I agree with the sentiments voiced so far... impressive bot mode, disappointing jet mode. Looks like there are no actual thrusters on the back of the jet (since the bot mode thrusters are stored inside the fuselage), and the undercarriage kibble actually looks worse than the ROTF leader. For those of us who care about both modes, this is quite underwhelming.

Really makes you appreciate how much the ROTF leader was able to accomplish over a decade ago for 1/3 of the budget, since it's comparable to this new MPM and even outshines it in some aspects. (Like the MPM-4 vs ROTF Optimus situation all over again.)

I WAS going to get this until I read Target Exclusive. I do NOT trust Target when it comes to protecting my personal information.

target is notorious for having their exclusives being bought out by scalper boys. This will probably be no different

I don´t want to say you are wrong, because you aren´t when it comes to the F-22´s having a different paint job, but it seems like they also have one that is fairly similar to the one of the figure. Sure, the darker edges are much more pronounced on the figure then on the real one and my best guess why the nose cone has two different colors is probably just for safety reasons, as always:rolleyes: .

Anyway, I kinda like him so far, so I might be interested in picking this one up. The HftD leader is probably not bad either but considering how much that one costs and how much I am probably going to pay for this one, I am better off buying the new mpm.

The nearest Target is about 50 miles away. I’m not making a 100 mile round trip just to get him.

No, Starscream's jet mode does have its thrusters. What's on Starscream's back are the F-22's internal jet engines, which are not visible in jet mode externally. Because they're internal. The thrust nozzles only direct the thrust, the engines generate it; and presumably Starscream doesn't need the thrust nozzles in robot mode because he can already point the engines themselves.

Target exclusive on a main characters. I fear this line doesn't survive the first movie cast.

The midtone grey they are using outside of the dark grey "splotches" should actually be the base coat, not that sandy warm grey. That would fix most of the look. Hasbro actually used that grey more prevalently on the robot mode parts.

In this day and age of readily accessible information, it does surprise me that a simple search for "F-22 livery" or even a scan from model kit instructions probably wasn't done. It wouldn't surprise me if someone just went on Google and found a Photoshopped movie poster with effects and based Starscream's deco on that.

I feel like if the Leader (or the Super OS'd one that I have) had better hands and rotating wrists, it'd be pretty perfect. Sure, the thrusters or whatever, but besides extra hinges and that, I'm not seeing much of a difference here.

It's not like Human Alliance Barricade vs. MPM Barricade where one has a "saw arm" built in or something.

Who will win, target scalpers, or a KO company that can actually make enough for the market. This target exclusivity is probably going not work. I was so pissed off that I could never find a $70 masterpiece hasbro starscream when that hit toys r us. If this truly is ONLY at Target, that is stupid.

When most people are upset with the altmode, Hastak is quite obvious with their strategy : They don't make figures as good as they can, they just make them better than the previous versions yet not perfect, so they can still make a dozen of re-designs and still sell well in the future.

No doubt this Starscream is the best atm, but just think Hastak could've done it much better. They have the ability to do that.
