Figured this one out this afternoon during lockdown. I name it Triple Power mode! Has it been done yet?

I got one Ironworks, Hoist, and Wheeljack from Amazon, since they were retail priced.

    I kinda wish I'd gotten 3 Ironworks.

Reflector aside, I've never been tempted to buy multiples of prior figures to build armies or combine them in some fashion (the closest I came was with Siege Brunt to be a generic Decepticon heavy assault trooper), but some of these creative Ironworks combos are awfully intriguing. Maybe if ER Wave 1 becomes like Siege wave 1 and persists endlessly through the line until they get slashed just to clear out stock (like the infinite streams of Chromias) I'll jump on it.

As for Ironworks itself, it would've been cool if he came packaged with the Ironworks Micromaster (aka Irontread) as a nod to the original. I didn't go in for the Siege Micromaster 10-pack, so that's a lost opportunity unless I just want to pretend Powertrain is the Ironworks reimagining. I'm also not a fan of him just having the crane hook on his right hand. Couldn't they have done as swivel so that the hook could face forward and/or be replaced with a proper hand? The only other thing that would've been cool is if his chest/claw bucket thing could open up to reveal some sort of weapon underneath. Like an Iron Man style chest repulsor or something.

So finally got one. He looks great, but the pin hinge for his hip assembly is basically free-swinging. Is there anyway to lock it I'm not seeing, or will Future work? It's an odd hinge so I have my doubts about Future.

Seeping Future might be the easiest way, are you talking about the assembly that pivots sideways on a hinge?

Yeah. I've tried Future which has helped, but it's affecting the hips waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than the hinge which while no longer freely moving is still... really moving.

Somewhat. Enough that I think that they look good together.

Just got my hands on one and its v fun! I love all the mini-bases you can whip up in a pinch.

But what the godless fuck is with the connection system? the handedness dramatically hinders options and there seems no real reason for the connections not to be symmetrical?

I hear Ironworks is going to be repainted into Greaspit's gas station. I can kind of see it but will take some remolding to work.

I'm looking forward to Hot House's fire station being done, although I think it would have to be a new mold.
