Thank you, I was very curious about that because he is the one outlier of Flame Toys designers on TFWiki.

 

Hard to tell due to the general anonymity of Japanese artists of that nature, but I don't think he's had any experience in this industry at all. I think Flame Toys just contacted him because they saw his Windblade fanart (he's also did a rendition of Arcee and Blackarachnia around the same time) and wanted to try to turn that into a model kit/figure.

 

Yeah, I went on a half our web hunt and all I could find was those pictures. Can you post them here? Iwould lovee them to be kits.

 

Possibly a dumb question. What are the paint apps on this stock image pic that differ to the toy out of the box?

 

All of them, not a lick of paint on the kits. Its to make them more appealing in the stock photos.

Is yours painted?

 

Yup. Chome Pen, Green paint, Yellow paint and red for the eyes (It was the SG version). I even painted the axe and gun sides green because they are stickers.

 

Did you need to paint the black on the face?

 

No, the face does come painted in silver, That is it (plus the chest for this release).

...so i slipped a disc last month, dislocated one of my vertebrae and am currently going through physical therapy to correct a lumbar lateral shift, and my torso looked a bit like this for the first few weeks: i look at this picture now and just think ugh, the pain...

 

It’s possible. If they go with more of Ban’s designs. I’d hope for an actual attack Megatron though. Having this be seperate one would make more sense since it’s not in the same style or intent to the normal figures.

It was fun to put IDW Megatron together. I would like to continue, so what about IDW Tarn?

 

They have kits of IDW Optimus & Drift, but no Tarn kit yet. Would be cool if they made a kit based on their Kuro Kara Kuri figure, like they did with Drift.

 

It’s definitely possible considering Drift. And Tarn has very few toys anyway so it’s certainly wouldn’t be a waste.

 

I would buy that design for a Model Kit.

 

So I got him. What markers did you use?

 

Nice! I didn't use markers, I used the basic color Testors acrylic pack. It's $15 at any arts and craft store. The only "marker" I used was the Molotow Liquid chrome pen (a few different sizes) for all the silver highlights.
