ROTF...best TF videogame ever made.

It’s even more shameful that they didn’t re-release War for Cybertron when FOC was re-released back in 2016.

For the first time since I first played Fall of Cybertron back in 2014, I’ve become pretty bored with it. I’ve become so bored with it that I almost regret selling my copy of Rise of the Dark Spark back in 2016.

I loved playing as Megatron rocketing around as a tank and climbing buildings.

 

Aren't WFC and FOC peer-to-peer? Are there even servers to shut down?

 

I'm worried about JOHNNYFLASH now! 

 

Yup, it is. Especially since Devastation was the last big TF game despite it being made by Platinum.

But don't worry, Hasbro's solution? TF MOBILE GAMES!

In this mobile game you get to- aaaaand it's off the app store.

...and the next mobile game you- aaaaand it's been shutdown.

-IN THIS Mobile game... Someone spent $200,000 dollars on this cheap junk to keep it going.

This is sad. I thought the severs were down a while ago. I only played Escalation and the last time I did was like in 2014.

 

Truly a damn shame. ROTF has probably the best multiplayer of any TF game i was still able to find a good game for a long time. Both games were sadly flooded with hackers who made the game not fun to play, but it’s still fun to play.

So sad.

 

Hopefully the community for this game can find a way to establish private servers.

 

Sad, but the games were truly dead. I tried many times to find a game in the last year anf was never able to get in..
Hoping for a new Transformers game in the near future

 

Noooooooo!!! A dark day indeed. I did TRY to play these two games. But unfortunately I suck horribly at video games higher on the evolutionary scale than Ms. Pac-man or Mr. Do. So I just watched the walkthroughs on YouTube instead.

 

"Retro" is not a synonym for "old". I don't know where that started, but I wish it would die.

 

Wait does FOC not work off client side servers? I thought it was running through that this entire time tbh. Especially since I could still technically play it’s predecessor’s multiplayer after all these years. (On pc btw)

will co op at least still work?

 

Oh come on! I was looking to hop on some old games to play but alas some things don't last. ROTF was the first PS3 game I played online. So many grest memories. At least I can enjoy FOC for a little bit until the eventual shut down.

 

This is depressing but hopefully those who played on ps4 abd xbox one will migrate to pc so we can at least coalesce the remaining players to one place while we still can. It pains me to no end that we never got a proper sequel and it sucks even more that people can't even really buy these games anymore unless it's Steam keys on Amazon or used physical copies. We desperately need a new Transformers game and I'm really worried the upcoming game by Certain Affinity will go the way of Transformers Online and Transformers Universe and not last very long. I'd much, much rather have another AAA single player title with multiplayer components so the game will at least still be playable after it's inevitable demise. The problem with games as a service is once they decide to stop providing the service, the game ceases to exhist. I can at least go back and play WfC and FoC with the single player campaigns and escalation.

 

I want to get whoever made this decision and -



This is why I'm an advocate for AI bots and why they should be standard in every multiplayer game. Let us say goodbye to what many thought was the best Transforners multiplayer game ever (and for me the best value DLC I have ever bought).
