Seems quite intuitive... though I couldn't sit through whole Transformation...

Still wondering how big he is.

Looks good. Wasn’t expecting a fake chest turret but that’s simply what Transformers are these days.

I get why it's necessary but 'm not keen in 'exploding-formers' i.e. lots of pieces flapping about around central hinges etc.

But the actual turret isn’t his chest, it’s under the shell that is his chest that is meant to look like the turret. It’s the opposite execution of the fake chest’s we see on MP Bumblebee and XTB Cliffjumper — on those the bot chest is fake underneath the alt mode shell. Here, the chest is the fake shell over the alt mode turret. But same fake shell concept.

The tank barrel isn’t his chest; the turret is his chest. The barrel is connected to the turret on a tank. Those are different parts of a tank. The barrel extending through the bot turret shell chest from the alt mode turret doesn’t change the fact that the chest of the bot is a fake shell turret.

Does it look good in both modes? Then who cares what parts go where to make it happen?

Everyone is entitled to have their own likes and dislikes, come on now, let's be chills.

I think this figure looks good on all account except for 2 for me, and that's his body which looks too slim and doesn't even a really powerful stature (I know, g1 accuracy). And the other is how small the tank mode seems to look. Looks neat, but I like my tanks big if possible. Any shots of Sheridan next to an mp car?

Yeah. Michael Bell got screwed over IMO.

Kinda like Michael Biehn's Kyle Reese character in T2. His filmed appearance and dialogue was removed from the theatrical version. I'm sure he was compensated for his appearance but I'm sure it must've sucked to have been edited out of a project that would turn out to be a blockbuster and most iconic films in history.

That's the FT way most of the times... parts attached to metal rods that unfold in 3 stages. I don't like that method because of the simplistic and unclever nature of it, but on this figure it seems to work pretty well. Intuitive transformation by the looks of it.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get this one. The bot mode is still a bit too heroic in proportions to my taste, but I don't think we're gonna get a better version in the future.

As long as it looks good in robot mode that's all that matters.

I’m not worked up, we are having a discussion about the figure. Disputing your claim doesn’t mean I’m worked up.

but we’re not both right. The alt mode turret is not the chest, the chest is a fake turret shell over the alt mode turret so it creates the illusion of the turret, only bigger. That’s a fact. And that is what a fake chest is.

So because it looks good means it can’t be a point of discussion? I didn’t see that rule posted.

That transformation looks good to me, conceptually, but the amount of time the person spends struggling to fit parts together is a pretty clear indicator that the minor details might have needed more work. It looks like you have to make some pretty fine-grained adjustments to fit some tight connections together, and all the various joints seem pretty tight, which would make that really time-consuming and frustrating. The flaps-on-struts aspect will be really exacerbated by that. Like, just the amount of time spent fully unfurling that curled-up flap that folds out from under the turret was ridiculous.

On the other hand, I think having the fake turret parts to form the chest is a pretty neat and elegant move - I completely understand not liking fake parts, but I've softened on that of late, and I think this is a better option than having two entire, separate turrets. I also really like how the lower legs are engineered, the way the tread part folds in like that on a rotating section.
